My Wife & I first happened on "Claragh" in 1987. Since then, it has been a DESTINATION for us on every visit back to Ireland! Con's breakfasts are just the BEST in Ireland! Cecilia remains one of our favorite people. This is a quiet, lovely, homey, inviting, warm & comfortable place to stay for more than one day. Cecilia can direct you ANYwhere of interest and also suggest places that are less well know...but worth the visit. If you want to feel like you are AT HOME, we urge you to stay at "Claragh" with Cecila and Conn!

Room Tip: No choice is the wrong choice!

Hi Ed and Liz
Thank you both for such a very warm and generous review. For our last Season it was lovely to welcome a couple who have visited us throughout or career as B&B owners. We wish you both well in your future travels to the Emerald Isle

This little B&B a few km outside of Blarney was excellent. Cecilia is the perfect hostess. She welcomed us with home baked rhubarb crumble and banana cake, it was delicious. Our room was lovely, clean and spacious.
Cecilia's recommendations for food and music in town were perfect. We enjoyed our stay and even more the breakfast with her home baked bread.
This is the place to be if you want a nice, clean, quiet B&B with delicious breakfast and an excellent hostess.

We were 5 persons and all agreed unanimously- this was the best hospitality ever! Cecilia made it feel like home and her reception was warming and caring. We were welcomed with tea and wonderful cake. The rooms were lovely and clean. Breakfast was delicious (includind homemade jam and bread). If you are visiting lovely Blareney castle and gardens, don't miss Cecilia's B & B. You will not regret it!

Cecilia truly makes you feel like family. Well, she treats you better than family. :). Greeting us with a delicious rhubarb crumble and tea and then visiting with us like we were old friends. My Mother had stayed with Cecilia 19 years ago with my Dad and two of their dear friends. My Mom had such fond memories that when she offered to take my daughter and I to Ireland, we were delighted to see that she was still running her B & B.

When she was asking us what we would like for breakfast the next morning, I jokingly replied, "rhubarb crisp sounds good". To our delight, when we came to the beautifully set table the next morning, there were little bowls of rhubarb crisp, for our starter, for breakfast. Her food was delicious, her openness to us after working in this business for so many years, was wonderful. You could tell she was born to run a B & B.

Forget about kissing the Blarney Stone, and make an effort to stay at Cecilia's B & B. You'll know you've met a new friend. We only wished we could have stayed longer. 2 nights was not long enough.

This B&B is the best we’ve ever stayed at. Cecilia (our host) was extremely nice and supplied us with freshly baked cakes in the afternoon and freshly baked Irish soda bread in the morning. Her Irish breakfast was the best we had on our whole trip through the country. The rooms were very cozy and spotlessly clean. We learned a lot about Ireland from Cecilia. She gave us good advice for our journey. Her warm hospitality made us feel extremely welcome. We will be happy to stay there again any time, if we make it to this area of Ireland in the future.
