“The gift of Blarney”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 May 2014

This is a homey, well maintained B&B is full of character (as suggested by its name). The hosts are friendly and welcoming, and Pat is very helpful and great fun to talk to ... as other reviewers have suggested I am also convinced that he has kissed the Blarney Stone! We had a comfortable and enjoyable stay, breakfast was delicious. This is a friendly, compact town conveniently connected to Cork by bus. We highly recommend a Blarney experience at the White House!

When we showed up the owner complained we were early. In the next breath was a request to pay in cash although a credit card was required to secure the room. No receipt was given upon payment. Room was dirty and smelly. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and left one with lack of sleep. They had air fresheners in the room attempting to mask the smell. The bathroom smelled of mold and mildew. I ended up with a itchy rash on my feet after getting out of bed. You could tell the owner was only in it for the money and didn't care about his guests. Checkout time is 11 although most other b&bs give a noon checkout. Avoid this place! Not worth your time or money!

This was a lovely B&B. We stayed for 2 nights and Pat and Regina made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Pat was extremely helpful with directions and suggestions. The house is within walking distance to Blarney Castle and the village. Breakfast was delicious!

Pat and Regina were great hosts. Pat must sneak out and visit the Blarney Stone because he definitely has the gift to make you feel welcome.
Regina's breakfasts were wonderful.
We were able to walk in to town for dinner and walk to the castle.
Pat gave us great directions to Killarney when it was time to leave.

We would definitely recommend the White House.

Fantastic B and B in Blarney. Pat and Regina were wonderful hosts- top quality service and accomodations. The breakfast was amazing (try the salmon with eggs). When we left in the morning, my daughter accidentally left her phone charger and converter in the room. Pat got in his car and tried to find us in the town to return it to us!
Easy walk into town for dinner or to the castle.

Got in late after a long day driving from Dingle & the Ring of Kerry to find a warm greeting from Pat. The rooms were clean, the food was well prepared & the company was warm & friendly. From the front porch there is a view of the castle.

This is by far the best B&B that we stayed in while in Ireland. Pat and Regina made us feel so welcome. The rooms were clean, warm and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. Would highly recommend this B&B to any traveller wishing to stay in the area.
