The best things about this place are the location and the breakfast.
My mother and godmother stayed here for 4 nights when they came to visit me in Cork. They had a front room (#4) with two twin beds. The room was rather small with a tiny television that did not work and the beside drawers will full of a previous guest's trash. Also, the trash bin was not emptied during their entire 4-night stay, despite its miniscule size. When my dad came to stay a month later, he had the same room. The TV did not work and they had simply pushed the twin beds together to form a "double" bed. That's fine as he was on his own, but that sort of thing wouldn't be very nice for a couple.
That said, the owners were quite friendly and went out of their way to make sure my Dad got breakfast on the two mornings that he was up and out of B&B before breakfast was technically served. Breakfast is in the small cafe attached to the B&B, which is very well decorated and provides a lovely ambiance. Portions are generous and the food is very nice, as is the coffee. The location is quite good, too, with a very short walk to UCC and about 10 minutes to the city center. There is a bus that runs right by the hotel and goes into the city center if you don't want to/aren't able to walk.
