Location is great for UCC (5-10 min stroll to main gate, about 20 minutes to health science building) and to stroll into Cork City (about 20 minutes into Oliver Plunkett St.). Breakfast was also yummy - make sure to allow enough time, it's all made from scratch. Dinner also looked awesome but I had arranged to meet friends in the city...will be making sure to try for next time.

Room Tip: Room 10 - very quiet double room at the back of the house, will definitely be asking for it again!

Rooms are clean and comfortable with tea & coffee facilities and a TV.. Our bathroom appeared to have been recently refurbished and was modern and very clean. Breakfast is provided by the attached Bistro (also owned by the B & B owners). Fantastic choice over two days we had eggs benedict, scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and the full Irish all were amazing and included in the price. We also had one evening meal in the Bistro which, again was lovely and good value. A very friendly place and we would definitely return.
Our room was at the top of the house so quite a few stairs so possibly not great for those who have difficulty with this.

I would highly recommend Anam Cara B&B. The location is great, close to town and right beside the university. I stayed in a double room for single occupancy which was a good size and very comfortable. The staff were welcoming and very friendly too. The Irish breakfast, in Serendipity cafe was absolutely delicious. I have stayed in many B&Bs in Ireland through work so I can say with confidence the breakfast in Serendipity is second to none! In fact I would highly recommend the restaurant for lunch and/or dinner too as the food is just amazing! Overall a really excellent place and I will definitely be returning...

Nice basic room, breakfast was beautiful! I'd recommend the French toast, best I've ever had by far. Very friendly hosts, couldn't do enough to make us feel comfortable. Easy to navigate, cosy and warm.

I selected this B&B on the basis of tripadvisor comments and my wife and I were not disappointed. Conveniently located a short walk from the centre of town with an all-important car park in the rear. Our room was clean and comfortable. Aideen and Tim were welcoming and helpful with advice and quick calls to summon taxis. Ample breakfast selections in the adjacent cafe. We spent there nights there and are likely to be back when next in Cork.

Great central location for city and UCC/CIT. The fact that there is parking is definitly as bonus in Cork. Serendiptiy is a wonderful extra and breakfast was brilliant in both taste and options. The staff are wonderful and can't do enough for you - however the front door key I was given didn't appear to be working. Not a problem as I was back early and used the open general entrance.

Room Tip: I had room 6 - ground floor to the front - not a problem for me as I'm used to the student night...
