“Relaxing Break”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 May 2012

Myself & my husbandtravelled from Wexford and stayed for three nights at Maryborough House. Lovely hotel for a relaxing break. Staff all very friendly & helpful - we were a little early for check in but were allocated a room & given a voucher to go for coffee while we waited - thank you Laura. All the staff at reception were friendly & helpful when giving directions. Very nice staff in the bar - had a good chat with Giovanni. We ate dinner in the restaurant one evening the food was delicious especially the lemon posset - I'd go back just for that. Only two small problems, the hairdryer in our room was not up to scratch, very noisy & not very effective - only a small thing I know but a good hairydryer is essential!! Also the radiator made banging noises when the heat came on in the morning.
Would go back - maybe next time the weather will be as nice as the hotel.

Was best man for a wedding last weekend.....hope none of my previously married friends read this but this was by far the best wedding and it was really made by the staff (and the grub!). Previous reviews mention the staff...they're spot on. If you're getting married YOU HAVE TO CHECK THIS PLACE OUT. i had a few requests as best man and Elaine (wedding coordinator) made them happen...the same for the bridemaids. Then Sean (floor manager i think) on the night was extremely helpful, everythign went off so smoothly...they're both legends....in case you didn't see my previous statement YOU HAVE TO CHECK THIS PLACE OUT!

Just back from a girls weekend in the maryborough.there were 14 women and we had a ball! the level of service we recieved from deborah at check in to check out was truly 5 star. the staff were so friendly and nothing was to much trouble.the rooms are lovely and each of the ground floor open onto the garden . I would highly recommend dinner in zings where their manager is very friendly and pulled out all the stops for us.the cocktail demo is a must as is the spa.
a truly memorable experience and one I intend to relive. Thank you to you all this hotel should be 5 star.

Room Tip: Look for a balcony room on the second floor lovely seating for the evening and they overlook the gar...

Stayed in the Maryborough over Easter and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The rooms are very nice and the common areas and gardens are lovely. we fell in love with the thermal suite, it was so relaxing and then the pool is great aswell, Make sure you use it. we also found relaxing rooms across from the thermal suite where you can just chill out and read a book or listen to music which is provided on the chair. Our package included breakfast and one evening meal. The food was very disappointing but it didnt put a damper on our stay as we were in such a relaxed environment. We had a room to the back with a view of beautiful houses but we discovered at night we were also above where they disposed of all the bottles and the noise was terrible and so late at night/early in the morning so bring earplugs incase!!!
The hotel is only a short drive into cork city so its great for shopping and going out in the city!!
We would definitely go back to the Maryborough again and would recommend too!!
