Owner description: Visit the Everyman, Cork's beautiful Victorian theatre for the best in Irish and International drama, music, pantomime, opera and comedy.
Reviewed 26 November 2013

The old theatre building has been beautifully restored, starting with the cast iron canopy over the door on MacCurtain Street.
The Everyman brings a variety of contemporary events, especially catering for touring groups from Ireland and the UK.
It does not challenge the Council managed Cork Opera House but rather compliments the theatre offerings in the city.

5 star rating for the Every Man theatre in Cork. wonderfull contemporay plays and shows available throughout the year. Great to come to Cork for a weekend away especially from the wild weather in Kerry's bad lands.

Amazing show last night, singing and dancing with bright colours. Venue located in Cork City center. Car parks, food, hotels close by. Great atmosphere.

Thoroughly enjoyed a very unusual take on Swift's story presented by a group of excellent young people starting out in the acting profession. Enjoyed the bar before the play and chatting with the young people after their show. On previous occasions I have had a few drinks in Dan Lowry's bar next door to the theatre and a meal in Isaac's Restaurant across the street.

Have been to MANY shows at this theatre and found them all to be of very high standard. Even saw Ed Harris ("The Rock", "Gone Baby Gone" etc) do a one man show a couple of years ago. This is a wonderful old theatre and architecturally a great reminder of what they looked like in their hayday. Have shows to suit all tastes and of course The Panto at Christmas is always a treat. Check out the website and find something to visit - you'll definitely enjoy it. (Full bar also for people who need a before show aperitif :D
