“Super friendly”

This was my second stay at the Clarion in the last 2 years. And I would definitively go back if in Cork again. Staff is all very friendly, prompt and attentive. Rooms are nice, nothing exceptional, but very nice, comfortable and well kept. Breakfast is a little bland, but not much different than then other hotels I have experience in Ireland or Europe in general

Room Tip: Those facing the river are nicer, but cost more. Those facing the back can be noisy. Or you can face...

I found the staff to be extremely kind and helpful, rooms were beautiful, prices were great considering location (expcted it to be dearer). Would definitely stay there again!! When booking the rooms for my sisters birthday weekend away I received plenty of information on the services provided by the hotel. On arrival we recieved a complimentary bottle of champagne and a kind note from the manger.

The hotel was very nice and the room was modern, stylish, and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay overall, but had some misunderstandings or miscommunications with the staff member who checked us in. We had an early flight the next morning, but had prepaid for breakfast, so she agreed to provide us with something like a croissant, fruit, and coffee in our room prior to our departure. The tray of food arrived promptly at 5am as agreed upon, but it contained chicken and ham sandwiches with salads and crisps. The food looked nice, but it wasn't what we had been promised, or what we wanted to eat at 5am. Similarly, we asked what time the hotel pool closed and were told 10pm. When we went down to swim at 9pm, we found out that it had just closed for the night. However, the hotel did order the taxi to the airport that we requested the night before, did recommend a lovely restaurant and nice pubs nearby, and we did enjoy our room.

One last comment - the signage on the hotel is hard to see. We drove right past it without even seeing it.

Stayed here for only one night. The room was for three persons. It was decent sized and came with free wi-fi. Which is always a nice touch. The room itself was spacious for three persons and came with some sort of view. We're not so concerned with a view as a comfy bed .The bed was lovely as were the comforters. All singles for a triple.

It was very close walking distance to restaurants/pubs and the main area of town. I do know that the lobby (as of early this week) is recently refurbished. It is very nice. There is a parking garage under the hotel and costs 10 Euros for the night. There is direct access to the garage from the lobby via a elevator.

Breakfast (On a Saturday) was hectic but plentiful. It was of a very good size, multiple hot dishes with lots of cold options as well. I was a fan.

All in all this hotel was a good choice for our one night stay on our way though the Irish countryside. Which, not in the country - Cork is a nice little city with a reputation for good food.

We stayed in the Clarion Hotel last weekend (19/10) for a hen party. As you can image with a large group there was a huge amount of over and back with bookings and cancellations and extra requests. I found the hotel excellent to deal with. All our rooms were ready bar one on arrival.....we got a comp upgrade for the bride to a fantastic room. We asked for a few things throughout our stay and nothing was a problem. We ate in the Kudos restaurant and the food was brilliant....all were very happy. The staff were lovely to deal with and made us feel really welcome. The added little things really impressed the group....homemade desert and a hand written note on arrival for the bride, comp upgrade, free bottles of water on checkout. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone, Very central to Cork City also.

Having been recommended this hotel to stay in Cork, 3 nights here, I was not disappointed.

The staff were highly professional and friendly, the rooms were of a good size and in excellent condition. We had some room service and the meals were quick, fresh and reasonably priced. A very pleasant surprise.

The hotel has two restaurants, but we only went to the Asian themed bar. The food here was also delicious, though just a bit over priced. The waiters/waitresses were speedy and friendly.

We went for a leisure trip, but this hotel should appeal for both business and leisure trips.

All in all a very enjoyable experience and would stay here again when in Cork

Room Tip: If you ask for a River View Room, it will cost extra, but you should get an outside balcony which ma...
