Tony and Avril were the ideal hosts; I wish we stayed longer! They both greeted us late at night because we got terribly lost in Cork. Tony took the time to guide us through the map of Cork (and beyond) the following morning & Avril's breakfast was the best I had in Ireland. (Judging by the surrounding plates, every option on the menu looked delicious!) They even called our next B&B to let them know we may run late -- I'm convinced there's a secret society of awesome B&B owners who all know each other by name & phone number.
Great hospitality aside, the twin room we had was perfect. It was en-suite, quite large, and across from there was a huge living room and kitchen. We actually got take-away food that night & enjoyed it in the living room all on our own. It felt like we had a private apartment (yard & all) to ourselves. There isn't a single thing I would change about the Fernroyd House in Cork; loved it all.More
