I stayed here for one night in March, and I wished I had the time to stay in Cork for 2 nights. The location is pretty good as its next to a few good pubs, and maybe a 15-20 walk to Oliver Plunkett St. Olive is such a nice person, her hospitality goes above and beyond. She came out and showed me where to park as I wasn't sure where to go. She wanted to carry my bags up stairs, which I refused her offer of, course. She is very informative on where to go, and what to do. The room and bathroom were clean, and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was very good as well. I will stay here again if I come back to Cork.

We recently visited our daughter who is studying at the University this semester in Cork and cannot say enough good things about our stay at Auburn House. We met a lot of nice people in Ireland but not sure that there any people nicer than Olive and her husband! They were very welcoming and thoughtful to us and gave great suggestions for things to see both in and outside of Cork (the Ring of Berra was a terrific suggestion, Kieran!) Olive went out of her way to help me with a train ticket and Kieran to help me park our rental car. The rooms were not fancy but very comfortable and clean and relaxing. Breakfast was great as well. But the reason I would recommend this is Olive and her family! Thanks for a great stay!!

Room Tip: Olive put us on the top floor as she thought it might be quieter for us and they were very quiet. N...

From Olive meeting us outside with a smile, to her wonderful husband demanding we not carry out bags, this was a wonderful place. Walkable to everything, clean, cute rooms. You can see the time spent by Olive and Kieran thinking everything out. From the brochures and guide books about, to having tea available all day.
This was our best night of sleep we had during our trip! Newly redone bathrooms, to a close-by parking lot helped alot!

We had a lovely stay for 2 nights at Auburn House. After initial confusion about our booking (it got lost, but luckily there was space for us and we even had a choice between 2 rooms), we settled in to a lovely double room with en-suite. The room had a comfy bed, tv, wifi, coffee and tea making facilities, huge bathroom which was perfect. And we even had a view of the city center. Breakfast was included and had a great selection of hot cooked breakfast items (beans, bacon, sausages), toast, cereal, fruit, tea, coffee etc. Olive was always willing to have a chat, and gave us advice of where to go and what to do in Cork, and they had plenty of maps and tourist info available.
Location is very good, a short walk into the city center and also plenty of good pubs near by. It is also a short walk to the train station.
Our stay felt like we were living in Olive and Kieran's house, their kids and dog were around, so the house had a very family feel to it which was lovely.
We highly recommend a stay here.

Ciaran & olive were very kind and was very accommodating with our stay. The room was basic but nice, very clean. Breakfast was tasty with tea & coffee available throughout the day. Very good location. Only qualm would of been the shower pressure was very low & uncomfortable to shower in.Olive andCiaran made our stay all that more welcoming.

This B&B was exactly what we wanted! Close walk to all the areas of town we wanted to see, convenient parking (VERY nice for those of us driving around the country,) comfortable rooms, also excellent breakfast! We were weirdly excited to have beans with our breakfast (one of our favorite parts of the traditional, sometimes left out by others.) Olive and Kieran were very friendly and were able to give us some great recommendations.

Only people like Olive and Kieran should be allowed to have a B&B. They are the best hosts one can have. The location isn't great in terms of beauty (in fact, Cork isn't the most beautiful city in Ireland) but quite convinient in terms of geography: close walk to the bus station, most famous tour departure point and the city center. The decoration of the rooms is a bit outdated but they are very clean and comfortable. And the breakfast, well, I don't think it is possible to find many B&B with such a great breakfast. Overall, it is a very good B&B with outstanding owners. I recommend it with no doubt.
