Visited this restaurant recently with a friend, we ordered two completely different dishes, we were hungry and neither of us are fussy diners. The food we were served was all but inedable and it cost us €35. This is one of them spots that sucks the unweary in because of its location, don't get caught, eat somewhere else.

Dom himself is an institution in Donegal Town. Formerly the proprietor of the famous Abbey Hotel, Dom is known all over the globe. The last meal I had here was Haddock and Chips which was done to perfection. I have never had any reason for complaint. The ground floor bar is always enjoyable and abounds with many local characters.

Ate here on a very busy afternoon, the restaurant was alive and buzzing, it was certainly one of the best meals of our week away by far. We had table service and it was faultless the food was piping hot and very tasty, my husbands highlight was when he asked for a white coffee to finish and his face fell when a pot of coffee was landed on the table but wow was he trilled to discover it was a pot of white coffee he savoured every drop and is still talking about it. We'll done everybody in Dom's bar and restaurant the experience was fab! We stayed in a local hotel and returned that night for a few drinks. Highly recommend this restaurant if your visiting donegal don't miss it.
