Having stayed in countless hotels all over the world, from 5 star hotels to backpacker hostels and having experienced service that varied from brilliant to non-existant,I found it ironic that the best hotel I ever stayed is to be found in my own home county of Donegal.
From the minute we checked in,we were made to feel welcomed and treated as if we were the only couple who were there.
We stayed in an executive room (The most basic ! ) and it was simply stunning. It wasn't just the huge floor area but also how classy the room was. Comfortabe chairs and a table, huge flat screen TV,seperate kitchenette area with tap, sink and minibar and a massive king size bed! In any other hotel, this would be the presidential suite! And I haven't even mentioned the bathroom, which was also superb, with a 2 person bath, stand alone shower and his & hers sinks!
And if the rooms aren't enough to impress you,the food certainly will. We had a lovely dinner in the restaurant, great food and generous portions. Breakfast next morning was just as good, with a chef on duty to cook your omlette to order.
Harvey's Point is not a cheap place to stay by any means but it is really worth every penny,it's the full package of service, dining and super accommodation. My one regret is that we only went for one night but that's something we will change the next time!

we enjoyed our very brief overnight stay here - check in was seamless and although ours was very much a last minute booking we were told that our deluxe room would be made ready for us in a very short period of time - we went to the very comfortable bar for a drink and then were informed that the room was ready. The room was on the second floor (in the lift it was marked as 3rd floor - it was very very big with four parts including the bathroom - tastefully decorated and well appointed. Our room had a mountain view and was quiet and private. Again like other reviews the staff wre very friendly and the food excellent - I would regularly stay in hotels but this ranks as on of the best - not for the cost conscious traveller but a real treat nontheless - expensive yes value yes

We arrived in Donegal later in the day. We rented a car in Dublin and drove over to the property. The posted signs on the roadway were very helpful in guiding us to the property (our GPS unit stoped giving directions about 6 km from the property). From checkin to dinner to breakfast to chekout, our entire time was spent encountering very friendly and accomodating staff. We will definitely stay at Harvey's Point. If you find yourself in the Donegal Area, you MUST book here. The views, the room, the bathroom were all very good. Thanks for making my first trip to Ireland a memorable one!

Room Tip: We stayed in an Excutive Room and it was worth it. This bedroom & bath area is larger then a who...

Wonderful Hotel in Beuatiful Surroundings.

(I could!t rate pool and fitness centre as I did not use them myself, but the others that were at the hotel with me said they were very very good).

Our first visit to Harvey’s Point this year and once again it exceeded all expectations.
We were so warmly greeted by Noel and Brendan upon arrival and our luggage off-loaded and the car parked for us while we checked in and chatted to Deirdre (one of the owners). It was just like returning home after a long trip away.

Our Penthouse Suite was perfect and everything we had asked to be prepared for us was there ready and waiting. We even had chocolate bunnies left for each of us in the lounge area of the suite on Easter Day.

Each day we decided to be really lazy and so after a wonderful breakfast in the dining room of our suite we would go for a drive and a walk. We’d come back and have a late light lunch and I have to say that the Seafood Chowder is the best I have ever tasted either in Ireland or the USA. Each evening we met with friends and shared a bottle of champagne and chatted until being led into our table in the dining room. What a beautiful view we had across Loch Eske! Our waiters & waitresses were so friendly and efficient and the food was to die for. It was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in years. Orhan our sommelier was especially helpful in choosing the best wines. We also heard other guests ask that compliments be passed to the chefs as the food quality and presentation was perfect.

I just love the way every member of staff you encounter takes time to say hello and ask how you are doing. They are so friendly and attentive. I don’t know what else I can say about Harvey’s Point without sounding pompous or over the top so I will simply say this was the best break I’ve had in years. The entire staff team at Harvey’s Point should give themselves a pat on the back as they deserve it. Thank you for making our time at Harvey’s Point this Easter very special and so refreshing.

My husband and I along with another 38 members of the Dublin Walking Club have just spent one of the most enjoyable weekends ever, in this fabulous hotel. The rooms were sumptious, the staff extremely friendly and the food was first class. I shall pass the word on to my many friends and family. We hope to pay another visit early this Summer.
