We were on a 3 weeks Harley Davidson Tour through Ireland and Scotland. Normally, we at "Twincruiser" avoid big hotels. The Harveys Point Hotel is a big hotel that surprised us positively: we never felt to be in a big hotel when we where in there; from the welcoming from Sean, the reception with Michelle to the stunning rooms and the meals, you just feel welcomed.
Everybody is polite and friendly in a natural manner, you get helped and well informed and you immediately feel like at home and happy.
This is the kind of place that goes the extra mile. They call theselves four stars but they give you the service of a 6 Stars Hotel. (I say 6 because normally you only get 5, but here they do more)
Have you ever had that feeling? I wanted it to rain non stop, so I am forced to stay longer in that hotel. Unfortunately we had to take a booked ferry so we left with tears in our eyes.
Should you ever go to Irland and not go to the Harveys Point Hotel for at least three nights, then you missed a big thing in your life.

Room Tip: Every room has something special.

What can I say...this hotel has got it all. The staff are friendly, polite, respectful and informative. The fact that this hotel screams relaxation, class, beauty and good value is obvious when you walk through the doors. The food was incredible as was the standard of the executive room we stayed in. I have been lucky to visit hotels all over the world that class themselves as 4 and 5 star, but this really is the most incredible place I have been in. I loved the whole ambiance...my partner was so excited as this was my birthday present, that everything was perfect. I was only sorry that we couldn't stay another night! And trying to book now for HIS birthday...and it's all booked out! Very sad. Go if you can. It is one of the highlights of my year. Thank you to all the staff, the owners who know their guests inside out, and to the lough for soothing a very stressful year! See you soon.

Room Tip: Treat yourself to a Deluxe Suite!

We booked in last minitue and got an executive sweet half pice. What would normally cost €250 per night per room we got for €75 per person .
Rooms amazing . Lake views.
Service very good.
Not the kind of place one would visit for some typical Irish Craic . More of a romantic get away .
Average age of clientele late 50s early 60s.
Nice place though , does exactly what it says on the tin. Ps Donegal town isn't great.
