Stayed here for one night after Christmas as a present to family members. Went for the Carvery on Sunday which was fantastic, really tasty and good quality food, and all you can eat for €30. Then checked into our rooms, which are just like the pictures online, really beautiful, cosy and spacious. Very comfortable bed, and massive bathroom. Lovely little touches as well, complimentary fruit, tea, coffee and fresh milk in the room as well as some lindt chocolates and homemade cookies. Breakfast was fantastic, a real feast. Had a few drinks in the cosy bar too. Overall, cannot fault this hotel, food was fantastic, service was first class. I just wish I has booked for longer to give us a chance to explore around the lough - definitely next time.

My daughter treated me and her grandmother to carvery lunch and an over night stay. I really have to recommend the carvery as it was the best value for money anywhere that I've been. From the moment we entered the hotel we were treated like royalty. The rooms are huge with an unreal sized bathroom.

Room Tip: Go midweek for best value, maybe starting on a Sunday with the all you can eat carvery. Not really s...

Harvey's Point is a beautifully located 4 star hotel with a huge 'family run' positive vibe. The staff really do care about your stay and they seek every opportunity to help without ever being invasive. The rooms are clean, well appointed and very spacious and the food is of the highest order.

And the Lough Eske setting is just wonderful. Mountains, lakes, walks and relaxing nooks in the hotel in which to sit and think or read or have a quiet drink.

Harvey's point is a reward for both body and soul. Thank you.

Room Tip: Ask front counter staff to look after you .... and they will.

We have just returned from a two day break to Harvey`s Point and we are counting the days and saving the pennies until we can go again. From arriving early on Sunday until we reluctantly left on Tuesday we felt like royalty. We wandered into the olde-wordy wood panelled bar and parked ourselves in front of one of the fires. We had`nt sat down when the delightful Deirdre (owner) greeted us and asked if we would like coffee and scones. This was presented within minutes - lovely fresh scones with butter, jam and clotted cream and a pot of coffee. This was "on the house". How many hotels would even think of a gesture like this ? We were shown to our room at about 2 pm. (check-in time was 4, so we were lucky). Although we had seen the rooms on the Harvey`s site, we were gobsmacked! Our room was bigger than the total area of your average house! 2 huge beds, 3 seater sofa, 2 wing-backed chairs, 2 foot-stools, 42" plasma T.V. In the magnificent bathroom was a double jacuzzi bath ! Also a seperate walk in shower, We were lucky to get a table at 4 pm in their excellent carvery, which is a Sunday treat. The selection of starters was mindblowing, soup was then served , followed by a selection of joints and vegetables from the carvery. I tried not to make a glutton of myself, but failed. The deserts were enough to play havoc with my cholesterol but I indulged anyway. As we were having the gourrmet dinner on the 2nd night, we just had soup and bread for lunch in the bar, although we did not need it after the fabulous breakfast, The gourmet dinner was another wonderful surprise with a varied menu. We did not leave a morsel and even declined coffee or tea afterwards. At breakfast, try the creamy porridge with Baileys Irish cream or the freshly cooked joint that the chef will carve for you. He will also make a "designer" omlette for you with anything you desire included. If you are having bar food, try the seafood chowder, the other half says its the best he has ever had. And dont miss the gourmet dinner. Service superb, food mouthwatering. We travel abroad up to 4 times a year and we always claim that Irish food is far superior to any sampled abroad. We are not your "bangers and mash" types, we know good food, so all I can say is for a divine experience go to Harvey`s Point.

Stayed two nights at Harvey's Point and upgraded to a suite which was certainly the largest we've ever stayed in. The accommodation was excellent in every way. The restaurants were also excellent - although we did have trouble locating the seafood bar advertised on the website (it doesn't seem to exist, we booked a table and were taken to the lounge bar which has very little seafood on the menu). A very minor point, but the hotel information folder in the room has very little information about the hotel - no times for breakfast or restaurant information, for example. These are trivial criticisms - overall the experience was excellent and we'd happily return

Dear Andy,

It was our pleasure to welcome you to Harvey's Point and thank you for your kind compliments and comments which are very much appreciated by the Gysling Family & Team.

We are always keen to listen to feedback from our guests and there is invariably room for improvement. Your point in relation to the Seafood Bar is fair and the truth is that we are in seasonal transition from having opened Harvey's Seafood Bar & Grill during Summer of 2013 to preparing for our exciting new food offering for Season 2014. As it happens, we are re-vamping our website which will then be updated to feature all that our hotel has to offer. So too is an upgrade of our guest room folder.

We look forward to welcoming you back again sometime in the not too distant future.

Kindest regards,

Deirdre, Marc & Team.
