“Tranquil and beautiful”
Reviewed 12 April 2014

I celebrated my Birthday here recently, and it was memorable. Nothing is too much for the staff here, who are well trained, but nevertheless friendly and approachable, and are 'themselves' - our questioning elicited part of their life stories from a few of the waiting staff.
The food was excellent, especially the breakfasts, and while the 'fry' was pre-cooked, it was nice and hot and there were omelettes available cooked to order. We particularly enjoyed the freshly squeezed Orange Juice, and the Smoothie. The restaurant location is excellent overlooking the lake, an occasional swan floats by, or a hare stops by for a look.
Our room was massive, with all mod cons Including double washbasins and double Jacuzzi bath, the bed was comfortable and I could have stated for a month. I went for a walk one evening, having been given directions by staff, and before setting out was disappointed that I could not walk off road, but in a 50 min walk I only met 2 walkers and 2 cars, so it is pretty quiet.
We will be back..

Room Tip: Rooms are quite large, so I would say they are all quiet. We stayed in 316, which was at the end of...

Dear Ann,

Belated birthday wishes to you and thank you for choosing Harvey's Point to celebrate such a special occasion.

We are genuinely delighted that you enjoyed your visit to our hotel and that you had a memorable experience in all aspects of your stay.

We are hoping to develop more walks along the shore-line to facilitate walkers and in the meantime, the road past the hotel is very quiet with lovely scenery. In fact, that road leads to an oak forest which is a super loop walk. We will give you a map and details on your next visit.

Thank you for your valuable feedback.

Kind regards,

The Gysling Family, Noel & Team.

Just returned from 2 nights at Harvey's Point. Wow!!!! I have stayed in quite a few hotels on my travels but have never experienced such an enjoyable experience. This was for a special occasion and on hearing this was upgraded to the Penthouse. It was unforgettable!!!! The service ,staff ,food, scenery and atmosphere was brilliant . We eat in the restaurant and had a few drinks in the bar-service was great. Food was superb. One of the owners came round the breakfast tables to ask if everyone was having a nice time.-this was such a personal touch. This truly deserves No1 hotel in Ireland and we look forward to making a returning visit. Thank you to all the staff that made our stay so enjoyable.

Fantastic, Wonderful, Marvelous, Super!
My two sisters and I have just returned from an absolutely fantastic weekend in Harvey's Point Hotel. Every detail of our stay was first class - from the friendly, courteous staff to the huge spotless bedrooms to the delicious food and overall air of luxury. One of my sisters celebrated a BIG birthday and we were all made feel special.
A big thank you to everyone - especially Nancy in the dining room (who opened a hover bag to search for a lost ring!)
We'll be back!!!

The rooms were excellent with that added comfort. The staff were friendly and very customer focused. The bar was relaxing and very reasonably priced compared to places like Dublin, Paris, etc.which we have visited recently.

Restaurant was expensive but food and service were excellent. Perhaps a leisure centre/spa would have made it 10/10.

Room Tip: All are excellent.

Dear Larry,

Sincere thanks for taking the time to share your experience of Harvey's Point. We always appreciate guest feedback, whether it is positive or negative as is is such a valuable way to measure our performance.

We are in agreement that a leisure centre / spa would greatly enhance our product. These facilities feature regularly on our wish list for the future and hopefully someday we will be in a position to offer them to our discerning guests.

Thank you once again and we hope to have the pleasure of your company on a future occasion.

Kind regards,

The Gysling Family, Noel & Team.

My husband and I have just returned from a fantastic weekend spent in the wonderful Harvey's Point Hotel on the shores of Lough Eske in Co Donegal. Rooms (suite) are large, luxurious and spotlessly clean. No detail has been overlooked - unbelievable ! Staff are very courteous, friendly and helpful. A very personal welcome on arrival. Food was first class. Breakfast choice was huge and the dinner menu had a wide choice of delicious food. Wonderful views of the lough from the restaurant and lots of scenic drives / walks to enjoy. Would highly recommend this hotel. Can't wait to return. Thank you to everyone and especially Ann who had a very warm PERSONAL welcome for us the minute we arrived at reception. Thank you.

Room Tip: Our room was on the second floor on the south side and we never heard a noise the whole time we were...

My wife & I have just returned from another wonderful stay in this absolute gem of a hotel. We have visited Harvey's Point on quite a few occassions over the years but it had been nearly 2 years since our previous visit, in the meantime we had tried a number of other top hotels in Ireland & the UK but none can compare with Harveys. As always the staff where fantastic, very helpful & nothing is too much trouble. The rooms have to be seen to be believed, they are absolutely massive & so comfortable. The food is to die for & the breakfast is unbelieveable, I would reccommend the slices of ham & the freshly cooked omlette.Sitting in the restaurant with the incredible views of Lough Eske was part of a brilliant experience & one I would encourage anyone to try at least once.It won't be 2 years until our next visit & already we are looking forward to it.
