“A Perfect Eske-ape!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 August 2014 via mobile

Arrived on Sunday afternoon after a long drive in heavy rain to the hearty glow of a turf fire in reception and friendly welcome at check-in (special mention to Donna & Sean). My wife & I decided to avail of the Sunday Carvery - what a feast!! Absolutely stuffed after five courses of high quality food. A measure of the Carvery's popularity was the 500 covers that day. To the room then...the biggest we have ever seen never mind stayed in, with fabulous view of Lough Eske. A perfect retreat from which we didn't want to leave...own bar, living room, TV room, huge bedroom, massive bathroom with double jacuzzi. Our 3-night stay was for our 20th wedding anniversary. Couldn't have chosen a better venue. The relaxing ambience was just the ticket. The trump card Harvey's Point has over any potential contender is its location right on the water's edge...even the approaching drive and first glimpse of the hotel across the lake makes you know you are going to enjoy your stay. Breakfasts were amazing buffet affair, and you could choose to have gammon sliced off the bone (my favourite bit!) or have an omelette cooked to order, freshly done pancakes...the choice was endless! Dinner was fabulous also with very high quality food (my wife loved the cheese trolley and the selection of Irish cheeses!) and excellent service. Decorating the dessert plate with Happy Anniversary was a nice touch. Will probably bore everyone we know for ages to come about much we enjoyed this place - can't praise it highly enough. This was our first visit. We will be back!!!

My wife and I stayed here for two nights on our anniversary. This was our second stay because after the first, we vowed we'd be back! From talking to the other guests and the friendly staff , Harvey's Point gets a lot of repeat visitors and it's easy to see why. Check in is quick but friendly and our room was simply fantastic! Huge but very tastefully furnished and a bathroom that's as big as many a hotel room I've stayed in. Breakfast is amazing, with a huge choice of buffet food as well as 2 chefs to add a personal touch to your meal. We ate in the restaurant and again , the meal was top drawer. As I said after our previous stay,it's certainly not a cheap hotel and €5.50 for a bottle of local craft beer is steep, especially when it's available for €2.90 in the local off licence whilst the liqueur coffees were an eye watering €7 -€9 depending on which one you chose.(but they were delicious!)That said, we knew what to expect when we arrived and were prepared. Harvey's Point is definitely a place for a special occasion or just a spot to get away from it all and it's worth every penny.Needless to say,we're already planning our next visit!

We stayed at Harvey's Point for just one night and instantly wished our stay was for longer. The hotel is simply outstanding; from the warm welcome at reception, the attention to detail shown by the restaurant staff, our fabulous suite and the hotel's stunning location, I simply cannot rate the overall experience highly enough!
My stand-out memories from my stay are the comforting smell of a turf fire - experienced throughout the premises, and the friendliness and warmth of the staff.
I'm already planning my next visit.

The room was outstanding.... only be topped by the views. The lakeside location is just superb. We we lucky enough to arrive on a Wednesday... in time for the summer season of weekly cabaret dinner shows. They feature very good food (especially strong in starter and dessert selections). The show was very enjoyable (ran to past midnight)... the dinner and show a bargain for 59 euros (pp). Topping it all was the excellent service... very very friendly and helpful... especially Sean at the reception area.
My wife and I would return to Harvey's Point without hesitation.

We went to Harvey's Point for Sunday carvery 2 weeks ago. It was excellent. The staff were brilliant, so helpful. The food was delicious and the desserts were divine. There was any amount of choice. Our kids especially loved the chocolate fountain. Keep up the good work!

This was our second time staying at Harveys Point and it will not be our last. From the moment we arrived, the smell of turf Fires, and the friendly staff at reception made our check in fantastic.
Our luggage was brought up to our room whilst we had a drink in the wine bar. We then where escorted to our room by a lovely man who showed us our room and informed us about the room. Can I just say that the rooms are luxury, relaxing, Comfortable, Private Just WOW. At this hotel it would be okay to just stay in your room if you wanted as it is like a mini house consisting of hall, private bar, bedroom and sitting area overlooking beautiful views of fields and country walks.
The entertainment that was provided in the bar was again brilliant. The singer covered Jazz, Pop, Country. Whilst in the bar I tried the cocktails, which are fresh and Yummy. Plus the Guinness was beautiful according to my husband.
And last but not least the FOOD. We booked for the 3 course meal. Gordon Ramsey wouldn't have a look in at this restaurant. Compliments to the chef. He uses fresh ingredients, Cooks them to perfection and the food is layed out perfectly on the plate. Fine dining at its very best.
Overall the Harveys Point experience is brilliant even magical. The views of the lake make this place calm and relaxing and its like heaven.
Thank you Harevys Point and all the hard working staff who always have a smile on their face.

xx
