We stayed at Harvey's Point on our first wedding anniversary and it was exceptional. The room simply blew us away, with the size, comfort, luxury and the jacuzzi bath was the icing on the cake. We had dinner in the restaurant which was fantastic. Finally the breakfast is out of the world with gam man freshly made pancakes or omelettes and all the usual Irish fry essentials.

It was expensive but worth the treat. If only they had a pool and spa this would be heaven on earth in one of the most idyllic locations to be found anywhere in Ireland.

Dear Guest,

Congratulations on your first wedding anniversary. We are honoured that you chose to celebrate such a special occasion at Harvey’s Point.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. It gives us great satisfaction to read your positive feedback.

Your point is valid in relation to a pool and spa greatly enhancing our product. This facility remains on our wish list for the future.

We hope to have the pleasure of our company again sometime in the not too distant future.

Kind regards,

The Gysling Family, Noel & Team.

We travelled to Harvey's Point for a late summer break and stayed in a suite overlooking Lough Eske. From the moment we arrived until we left five days later we had the most enjoyable and relaxing time imaginable.
Our room and the view from it it were superb. The food and service were of the highest order and all the staff from reception right through to the bar and waiting staff could not have been more helpful. As part of our stay we attended the cabaret night on the Wednesday and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. The meal and entertainment were top drawer and the atmosphere superb. It all added to the enjoyment of a fantastic few days.
For those who like a walk {or a run} perhaps consider taking a stroll or a jog around Lough Eske. It is just over ten miles from the front door of the hotel all the way round but the thought of a relaxing jacuzzi when you return should keep you motivated while hiking.
A totally realxing and invigorating few days and we are already looking forward to returning again.

Room Tip: request a suite or room overlooking the Lough

I booked a deluxe room for my partners 30th and the hotel surprised us with an upgrade to the penthouse suite! Unbelievable! It's by far the best hotel we've been at in terms of staff service, room size and cleanliness. We had our very own bar and it was not your standard mini bar! A lovely edition to the suite. Breath taking views, food to die for (Sunday Carvary is quality) and class jacuzzi to relax in that night!! Couldn't have asked for more. Lovely relaxing break. Thank you harveys point xxx

On arrival receptionist very friendly , we were them then shown what was probably the largest room we have ever stayed in , should I ever want to take up 5 aside bedroom football then this would be the place to do it .All went a bit down hill from there unfortunately , went down to the bar to have a drink , trying to get one ( and I'm not alcoholic ) was a bit of an effort , and this really set the tone , we went for dinner later on , the restaurant was very quiet however , after ordering some drinks we had to chase them , then came the ordering of food , not good again we had to chase them , as in we had to go and find somebody , after what was pretty decent starters and main courses we tried I vain to order deserts , but all four staff were to busy in a huddle doing nothing I eventually had to go and ask , Whilst I'm not looking for people to tuff their forelock and run after me , this was pretty appalling service by any stretch of the imagination , we did complain to the restaurant manager who did apologise and took a deduction of our bill , whilst this was a descent thing to do it wasn't the point the service was crap and should not have happened , all the reviews I have read about harvey's point have been great , but I can only write about my particular experience .

Dear John,

Thank you most sincerely for highlighting your disappointment in relation to your visit to Harvey’s Point in July. We genuinely appreciate all guest feedback, especially if there are any shortcomings or areas for improvement.

Please be assured that we share in your disappointment and we will conduct a thorough investigation into this matter with our Restaurant Manager, Bar Manager and their Teams. Lapses in service to this extent are as rare as they are unacceptable.

I do hope you will accept our most sincere apologies. It is such a pity that we let ourselves down on this occasion and that you did not experience the usual high standards of service for which Harvey’s Point is renowned.

It would be our wish to try to restore your faith in our hotel. We will endeavour to trace your booking so that we can contact you directly. Alternatively, please feel free to contact us at anytime so that we can apologise in person.

Thank you once again for your valuable comments. We hope we can make it up to you.

Yours sincerely,

Deirdre & Marc

I recently read a review here saying the hotel and service etc was fantastic but it did mention the Sunday Carvery was a bit expensive if you didnt have all courses, I have to totally disagree here, I recently had a meal in Letterkenny, the food was just ok, with main meal, dessert and coffee it came to 28 euros, it was nowhere near the quality of Harveys Point Carvery and certainly nowhere near the quantity, you can take as much time as you like, you are never ever rushed so you can take time between courses, the service is second to none, you are thoroughly spoilt, I was amazed at one detail, when you went to the buffet your napkin was tidied and folded again at your table, even replaced if needed, it is little thing like this that make me want to keep returning to Harveys Point

Dear Guest,

We read your review with pride and pleasure. Thank you most sincerely for taking the time to let us know your views on our Sunday carvery lunch. Your comments are genuinely appreciated.

For our food offering at the carvery, it is our wish to offer quality in harmony with quantity. Value is important to us. We love to see families and friends getting together to enjoy good food in each other’s company. Noel, Sara and the entire team work very hard to ensure that every guest is pampered and doesn’t go home hungry!

We are delighted that so many valued guests such as yourself, return time and time again. We are most grateful for your continued loyalty and high recommendation.

It will be our pleasure to welcome you back again soon.

Kind regards,

Deirdre & Marc
