On arrival, we were greeted warmly and told we were getting upgraded to a suite with no extra charge! We were then shown to our room. It was absolutely beautiful, massive, with a jacuzzi bath, dressing area, 50 inch plasma TV and four poster bed. I couldn't fault the room, it was so clean, I saw them combing the rug tassells in another room as I walked down the corridor!!
We had dinner in the Steakhouse on the first night. I wasn't overly impressed, while the steak was delicious there was very little choice other than that and mains were served with chips and mushy peas. However there was a nice ambience in the room.
The rest of the hotel was nicely decorated, some parts very slightly 90s. The breakfast was also delicious with a great choice. The staff are very friendly and helpful - I think this is something they pride themselves on.
If I had any complaints I think most hotels in the same price range have a swimming pool and spa. It is something that is slightly missing in this hotel.
Its quite different from most of the other new hotels, it has a nice friendly warm atmosphere, I find some new hotels quite cold.
Overall I would recommend this hotel, especially if you are looking for something in a beautiful location with large comfortable rooms.

We have just returned from 4 fantastic nights in Harveys Point, situated on the banks of Lough Eske. Everything about our stay was pretty much perfect. We stayed in an executive room which was over 700 sq ft, with every comfort possible and a view of the Lough. The restaurant was magnificent, and we had two fantastic meals there. The weekly cabaret on Wednesday evenings til October was a welcome surprise, with lots of great acts and a really good meal. However, the most special thing about the hotel is the staff who provide such an excellent and friendly service. From Eamon, who is part of the management team, and who runs the entertainment and is a real pro, right down the line to the most junior staff member, one gets the feeling that they all really want you to have a good time, and really enjoy what they do - very rare these days. Value for money is excellent and a nice touch is that minibar prices are the same as the main hotel bar, ie no additional charge and there is no tray charge for room service except for breakfast. Without a shadow of a doubt we will return to Harveys Point - as soon as possible!

Stayed here in July for a minibreak. Absolutely fabulous. Really close to Donegal Town if having withdrawal symptoms from reality. Harvey's Point is in idyllic lakeside setting. Lots of very nice walks. Lovely atmosphere - open fires, luxurious feel to the place. Booked to go back before I left for home. Very nice staff - friendly and professional. Rooms are fit for a king. Complimentary fruit and chocolate provided in the room every day. Found it really hard to leave. You haven't lived if you haven't been to Harvey's!

We were welcomed at the front door by Brendan which was a lovely start to our weekend and set the standard we came to expect from the moment we entered the hotel. We were not dissappointed, as all the staff seemed aware of your presence at all times who were ready to help in whatever way they could.
We dined in the stak house as the restaurant was not open on a sunday or monday night. This was a little dissapointing however we certainly were not dissapointed with the food. The steaks were DELICIOUS and servfed with peas, mash and sauce - perfect! The breakfast was the best breakfast we have ever had in any of the hotels around the world we had ever stayed in! fresh, tasty, full of flavour and the choice was nearly too much. On our second morning we planned to sit and enjoy the experiance fr 2 hours it was that good! The room! was fabulous and huge! Need i go on! Well done to Harveys point I couldnt fault it! We will be back!

I have just arrived back from what i can only describe as the most perfect weekend in a truly luxurious hotel!! From the friendly staff to the gorgeous room and grounds I can't wait to go back again!!!

The only thing was the weather, but that isn't the fault of the hotel. It's a beautiful location, the food in the new Steakhouse and the main dining room was fantastic. I was there for the Echos of Ireland night with Malachy Cush - what a singer! The only thing was that i think it should be held in a bigger room.

Ten out of ten!!

Quite simply, magnificent.

The luxury and comfort of the Executive Suite; the ambience (welcoming and friendly without being overbearing); the simply exquisite dining - gourmet, steakhouse (and spectacular breakfasts!); the speedy and superb room service; the beautiful surroundings.

When one reads the narrative in the brochure relating to the conception of this hotel, one gets a sense of a family enterprise that has been a labour of love, passion and drive; all I can say is this - that vision is perhaps the most spectacularly realised I have encountered, and it finds fruition in every aspect of this wonderful hotel.

After only two nights, we simply cannot wait to return - this is the type of destination that one is sorry to leave, and has spoilt us for anywhere else, it really is that good.

I cannot stress enough how wonderful the experience was, and would, without hesitation, recommend this fantastic hotel to anyone looking for something very special indeed.
