Donegal Castle is located in the center of Donegal Town. Easy access and self guided tour.
There is ruined area, but several rooms are restored and showcase the castle well. There are some wonderful photo opportunities.

The restoration work that has been completed on this castle is impeccable. It's a beautiful place and I enjoyed the tour and history lesson of the Donegal region immensely.

If you visit Donegal town you should probably visit Donegal Castle. Its a nice, little castle. Admission is affordable. They have a little exhibition where you can learn the history of Donegal Castle.
