Good value B&B. I stayed in a very large room on the top floor, and the breakfast was terrific, for about 90 euro per night. Staff also very friendly and helpful, and good location 5 minutes drive from Donegal town center. There were a lot of small problems though; the internet was awful (.7 mbps), there seemed to be no air system and one small window for ventilation, and there was no fan at all for the bathroom; the room was very large but the furniture was strange - a dinner table for the couch where a coffee table was needed, and in a large bathroom a tiny sink with no shelf space and those awful hot and cold taps several inches apart so warm water is impossible; the door takes 5 minutes to open 'cos the key gets stuck; and if you stay on the road side of the building, it's very noisy, but you need the window open to stay cool in summer. But it was good value overall, with a great fresh breakfast and helpful staff. At this price, I'd stay again.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms on road side

We stayed here for 2 nights in July. The Manor is a lovely building a few minutes from Donegal town centre. The setting was beautiful, with our only neighbours being some sheep. There was also plenty of parking.
Our room was gorgeous. Large, bright, airy and comfortable. Everything was spotless and well maintained. All the furniture and decor matched beautifully (usually the mark of a good hotel)
The breakfast was superb, plenty of options and quality ingredients.
For us, what set this hotel apart from many others we have stayed at was the welcome from the owners, Sian and Michael, from the moment we arrived until we left we truly felt like their guests. Plenty of recommendations for restaurants and activities without being too much. It was our wedding anniversary while we were there, that morning a bottle of bubbly arrived at the room for us. You truly couldn't wish for anything more from a hotel! We will definitely be recommending Donegal Manor to anyone who will listen.

We stayed as part of a family group for 2 nights in July. The reviews were all good and the place definitely lives up to it, you will not be disappointed. Hosts are welcoming, friendly and genuine. They are always on hand when you need them but give you space also. Rooms very clean and good size. Reception/lounge area downstairs where you can sit in the evening. The hosts even provided glasses for the wine we had brought with us. Best thing of all is the food, Sian is a chef and it shows - breakfast is pre-ordered the night before - and what a lovely selection, everything from usual fry to smoked salmon or pancakes. Lots of homemade cakes and bread on offer throughout the day. Nice homely environment which was very welcoming.
For eating out try Pier 1 (huge portions) and Olde Castle Bar - both on diamond. The Waterbus trip is also well worth it - good value at 20 euro.

Room Tip: Rooms at front of hotel get some noise from the road but this did not disturb our sleep at all.

Donegal Manor is to be recommended. Sian and Michael the owner/mangers are very pleasant, courteous and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Homemade cakes are available as soon as you walk in. The room number 28 was spacious, comfortable and with reasonably fresh decor. Breakfast was delicious with loads of home made goodies, fresh hot dish service and gluten free option is available. Ample car parking. Only a 20 minute walk into the town centre (be aware the first 400m has no pavement).
The main point to note is that there is no inhouse onsite evening restaurant facility available so you need to go to either Harvey's Point or into Donegal town centre. The cold water was a little bit warm. As there is no inhouse onsite restaurant available then the price was maybe just a little too high for the slight inconvenience.

Room Tip: Room 28 is at the rear and side of the property which makes it a little bit quieter avoiding any sch...

We stayed here the start of July for 2 nights, what a lovely place to stay, large comfortable, clean rooms, delicious breakfast with lots of choice and freshly homemade brown bread. The home baked goodies left in the lounge for guests were a real treat! Sian and Michael are really lovely genuine people, Michael even dropped us into town on one evening when it was raining, we were asking him to book a taxi and he offered to being us in as he was heading in himself anyways. We will be back :)

We stayed in Donegal Manor on the last night of our cycle. From the time I booked and explained it was for charity,Sian couldn't have been more helpful, letting us use their facilities to wash our gear and arranging a table in a brilliant restaurant,Pier one,in a Donegal town, bearing in mind it was a very busy weekend in Donegal, and there was15 of us!!
The rooms were spacious, clean and very comfortable. Our stay here was our forth night, and we had stayed in hotels the previous three, and this was by far the best.
The breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice, presentation and service superb.
All in all,our stay here made our last days cycling a bit easier.Sian and Michael are excellent hosts and I would definitely recommend Donegal Manor to anyone.
