My fiance and I stayed here for a night on our Northern Ireland tour and absolutely loved it. We got a bit lost finding the place, but once you find it is on a beautiful location with a nice view of Lough Eske. Our hosts were a very lovely couple who did their best in giving us directions when we got a little lost and took great care of us once we arrived. The room, service, facilities, breakfast and everything was lovely. We would recommend it to anyone visiting Donegal if you have a car as it is a bit of a drive to get here. But definitely well worth it for a nice, relaxing place to stay not too far from the center of town and with a lovely location on the lake.

The place is run by a very lovely couple. The welcome was very warm and so are the advices on the srroundings. Great breakfast with a lot of variety. Very nice views from the room, which are very homey. Really nice place to stay at. And very good value for money.

The guesthouse is the loveliest b&b we ever visited!
The location is amazing, the view from the guesthouse and the surrounding area is just beautiful. The owner greeted us and immediately asked if we were hungry, like a parent, we arrived there late and he seemed rather concerned. It was very sweet of him, he recommended a great place and for different pockets, overall a wonderful man.
The room is very beautiful, the bed was THE most comfortable bed ever, the details all around the room, the wallpaper, the perfume in the bathroom, the cute hangers with`the ribbons, the pretty armchair, all added to the character. The whole house decorated wonderfully, in the living room the owners have pictures of their family, nice big windows where you can enjoy the view. Overall very impressive, luxurious and wonderfully decorated for a B&B, and for that price.
The breakfast is served in a lovely room with lake view, with cute cutlery, all the typical breakfast items, and on top the owner is making in her kitchen a range of things, i had the irish breakfast which was so awesome, and was also offered a lovely raspberry cake, home made. My partner is vegetarian and had the french toast, which he loved!!
The owner even apologized for not giving us a room with a view, as it was not available, which never happened to me before, in the tens of terrible rooms i was thrown in, in the past, that is how much respect the owners have for their guesthouse.
We will definitely go back. Its a lovely place to sleep in and a lovely area to visit, don't miss it!

Room Tip: rooms on the front have lake view

Looking for a great B&B experience in Donegal Town? Then look no further than Mary and Sean's Ardeevin Guest House! We found the Ardeevin Guest House with good reviews on Tripadvisor. We booked through hotel apps (and were later told by the owners that doing so avoids the 15% upcharge through Bookings.com) and had no issues with that service. We did have a little trouble finding the place, even with the use of a GPS (our Garmin with Ireland map didn't have the house listed in its database), but we came in along what must have been the back way, since we did notice signs for the house along the entry route once we got our bearings. Make sure you email or call the owners prior to visiting; they'll tell you the town to plug into your GPS that will bring you straight to the house. We were greeted with a quick check-in and shown to our lovely downstairs room with a large window that faced a stunning view of Lough Eske and the rolling Irish farmland that dominates the local terrain. The house has a large sheep pen in the back, and the owners were more than willing to let my wife (a huge fan of animals) visit their sheep and admire the scenery from the back yard. The house in very nicely furnished, and the en suite bedroom was very cozy. A comfortable, warm bed with thick sheets, comforter, and pillows with a nice wardrobe and relatively roomy shower and sink. Even the water pressure was excellent. Guests are treated to a fantastic breakfast each morning, with attentive service by Sean (one of the owners), who parades out with Mary's excellent cooking. The breakfast selection is good enough to suit even the most demanding palettes. The house is very conveniently located, too, with easy access to Donegal Town (about 4.5 km down the road) and is about 40 minutes south of Letterkenny. For those looking for a more refined dinner experience than what can be found in town, you'll be situated only ten minutes from the Solis Lough Eske Castle, which is a relatively high-end luxury resort. We had dinner there one night and drinks another night; the Ardeevin House was a perfect jumping off point. All told, we had a magnificent B&B experience at Ardeevin House, and it would get our very highest recommendation to anyone we know that might travel to that part of Ireland and would be looking for an ideal B&B experience. Mary and Sean are tip-top hosts and are as sweet and as kind as can be.

Room Tip: For best convenience, ask for a downstairs room with a view of Lough Eske!

Myself and my wife spent the Easter week-end at Ardeevin. We arrived on Saturday 19th and departed Tuesday 22nd. On arrival, we were greeted very warmly and had coffee and tea with lovely tray-bakes. Our room was lovely (Benbulben) with fantastic views over Lough Eske. We used Ardeevin as a base for some lovely walks, including the fantastic Slieve League. The weather was great so we frequently sat on one of the many seating areas available in the well manicured front garden, which looked out over Lough Eske. We were offered a good variety of breakfast which included lovely, home-baked bread. Sean and Mary, thanks for the great time and the craic. Graham and Julie.

Sean and Mary are experienced hosts, the lake views are breathtaking and the breakfast outstanding with Mary's soufflé by far the best we had on our trip. The only downside of an otherwise most enjoyable stopover was the poor signage to the B&B from the main route.

We spent two nights in this lovely B&B. Sean and Mary are absolutely lovely and the house amazing. The perfect destination for a romantic getaway. Although full of vintage pieces the house really has a very cosy not outdated feel about it.The rooms have a beautiful view of the lake with a lot of places to see nearby! Breakfast amazing, Mary is a wonderful cook, had the best ever omelette and a wonderful banana bread.

It is a little difficult to spot at first but Sean is really good at giving instructions to get there.

we will definitely come back.

Room Tip: The twin room has two very large double beds in it..really comfortable
