This lovely B&B was booked through a motorcycle tour I am on. It far exceeded my expectations, the hosts are charming, the amenities are nice...you can't go wrong with an in-house bar. I highly recommend a stay...the views from the Tower room were amazing.

First off, I have to mention the view - the most spectacular of any place we stayed. The front of the B&B overlooks a large front lawn, a small border of trees, and then a tidal inlet, which fills and empties every 12 hours. You can walk down the lawn, through the trees and out on a dock on this beautiful inlet. There were very few buildings on the water, so most of what you see is green hills and trees all around. It is wonderful.

When I was booking accommodations for my wife and I and our three adult sons and two daughters-in-law, I was hoping to find an affordable castle experience. With prices starting at 200 euro per person, I knew that wasn't going to be an option, but when our son saw a picture of this B&B he was satisfied. When I describe it as castle-like, it might sound kitschy, but it was really very wonderful. All of the rooms were very elegant and some were extra special. We stayed in "The Hobbit" and our richly appointed, large room had it's own separate entrance and a beautiful bay window overlooking the inlet. Our son had the smallest single room, but he had a large bath with water jet's in his bathroom. The lobby had some wonderful antiques and some Egyptian decorations mixed in with the English castle theme. I know it sounds odd, but it worked for us. The only negative thing I can think of was that we could hear people walking in the room above, but this was very minor.

Once we got there, we knew we didn't want to go out, so we went to a local store, bought some food and brought it back to the B&B and ate it at the outdoor table with that wonderful view. Later we hung out at the dock. Geoff and Jackie were gracious hosts and we loved the time we had here.

That's how we felt when staying at Rossmore Manor...Lord & Lady of the Manor. Our welcome was friendly & genuine & the room and setting is just superb. We stayed in the Hobbit Room & it was beautiful, comfortable and warm, Bilbo Baggins would have wanted it. Your own ensuite, TV & comfy bed. Breakfast is served in the morning & it'll keep you going all day. The owners are very cool and helpful & even went to town for us to get pizza. I'd recommend it for sure if your touring around this part of Ireland.

We stayed one night as a "bit of a treat" on our visit to Donegal county. And what a treat it was.
A grand manor feel with every mod con. Location overlooking the bay with fantastic vies from our gothic style window. The bedroom (called The Hall) was absolutely huge and very luxurious. Hosts Geoff and Jackie welcoming and very friendly and relaxed. Wanted to stay longer! Definitely next time!!

We stayed for 2 nights in June, and could not have wished for a more spacious and elegant room for 4 people. The second floor view over the incoming tide and green pastures, the large bathroom and ample seating besides the large beds made this is a great resting place after a long day's touring with our family. Breakfasts are scrumptious, and hosts kind and informative. We stayed in bed & breakfasts all over Ireland for 2 weeks, and this family room is by far the most exquisite we found.

This was the first stop on our five day motorcycle trip in Ireland. Our hosts were Geoff and Jackie along with there five charming children. The Manor is set on a hill high above the country side looking over where the Atlantic Ocean tide pool comes in when it is high tide. The view out our window was breathtaking. We had the honor of staying here for two nights. The hospitality was amazing the hosts make you feel very welcome and appreciated. The stay here exceeded both my wife and mine expectation. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Ireland. Jackie and her charming young daughter came up to our room in the afternoon and brought us the most delicious cake and pudding for out afternoon tea. They should be proud of the lovely children that they have raised.

Rossmore Manor was the first of several B&B's we stayed at on our tour of Ireland. We stayed in the "Tower" room and found it to be spacious, clean, comfortable, and with a view to die for. This set the bar very high for our trip and although we were lucky to have had great accommodations throughout our 8 day tour, Rossmore Manor was not surpassed. Jackie and Jeff made us feel as if we were part of the family. They shared great advise for our travels and great stories about Ireland. We also shared laughs in their newly created bar - complete with secret bookcase door - that appears to have been Jeff's passion. What a way to start our travels! It was tough to leave after two nights of pure bliss.
