We stayed here for one night as there was a conference on for two days prior and then 2 days following so only one night was available
It is a beautiful hotel in a stunning location
We booked a deal through Trarvel Zoo we had wanted the Tuesday but settled for the Wednesday as that was the only available booking
When we arrived they had no record of the booking but we were immediately given an upgrade to a room in the main building and were taken to the room by a friendly staff member
It was a huge room and lovely large bathroom and certainly exceeded our expectations
The staff are first class friendly and professional and nothing is too much trouble
The only disappointment was that Cedars restaurant was closed but the galley bar served an excellent dinner
We walked around the lovely grounds and with the help of a map provided by reception did a good walk along the stunning lakesid
The hotel was very quiet as there was only one day between the two conference but this was a great time to see around and make use of the lovely pool
The breakfast was excellent and a great variety
The staff are the best that we have found in any of the many hotels that we have used
The location is wonderful and we will definitely return hopefully for a longer stay
It deserves its star rating Well done

Room Tip: We were is the main building so can not comment on courtyard rooms but if it was raining you would h...

We stayed here for two nights at a conference this week. It was a huge success. Everything from the weather to the staff, food, gardens were perfect.

The new part of the hotel blends in well with the older part and the Garden Suites look lovely too.

The spa is beautiful and the people working there are very professional.

I would definitely re visit this hotel, for this type of luxury i believe it is fairly priced.

Try it before it gets too busy, it really is a hidden gem.....

After staying in Dublin this was a refreshing change. The outside of the edifice is a castle but the interior was redone. There are many rooms, a S{PA and all sorts of things in which to luxuriate. The Castle sits on vast ground and is near the Lough Eske. (River to the non Irish) The food was good, the service was great and the rooms were comfortable. What else could one ask for but to stay another few days.

Room Tip: There were 18 of us and everyone loed their rooms.

We checked in on a Tuesday and stayed till Friday morning so had ample time to experience the restaurant in the evening (where the menu was exceptionally nice) as well as breakfasts (so much choice!). The afternoon in the spa was a great unwind. I should have planned to be there longer!
The location is perfect for a wedding as the grounds have lots of pretty sculptures (even a dragon!). Umbrellas are plentiful. Food was excellent. Hard to think of anything to fault as teh staff are so welcoming and helpful throughout.

Room Tip: On arrival we were shown a room that did not match what we had booked (a Courtyard room). Reception...

5 Star from the minute you turn off the main road and drive up to the castle passing Lough Eske along the way.The castle has being renovated in recent years and it would appear that no expense was spared on its redevelopment.
The minute you pull up to the main door you are greeted by a porter who greets you with a smile. That was the first sign of how friendly the staff are and that is the memory that will stay with us for a long time.
Our room was a junior suite (a present from our family)which was fantastic.and has to be seen to be believed. We asked asked Michael the porter to show us some of the other types of accommodation they had to offer and all i can say is they were of a very high quality.
We ate in the bar and in the restaurant and the food was only marvelous as was our breakfast which was cooked fresh each morning by a wonderful chef who would chat with you as he cooked your omelet.
The leisure center is situated in a converted glass house and has all the spa treatments and pool to relax in.
The most outstanding memory of our stay were the staff they have to be the best trained in the country .In fact other hotels could learn from them.

Room Tip: Look foe a court yard room .

We were having such a relaxing and enjoyable stay that we had to extend our trip and book another evening. I have trouble trying to find any negative points to raise about this hotel. The food was excellent. Staff were extremely friendly and the rooms were large, comfortable and made for relaxing. Could not recommend this hotel high enough! Did I mention the Spa area- also excellent!

A wonderful place to visit. Romantic, good food and excellent service,Beautiful grounds, Large rooms with a huge bathroom suite.Heated floors in the bathroom. Was only there for 1 night because we were touring the whole country. The breakfast was one of the best we had while we were in Ireland. The gentleman who was making omelets in the morning was very special. I didn,t get his name but he was a doll. And he made great omelets. Good and prompt service thoughout.

Room Tip: Cannot say a bad thing about it. Our room was so special and nothing was omitted. First class all th...
