Solis Lough Eske Castle was the best place we stayed on our two week honeymoon in Ireland. Exceptional service. Elegant, yet comfortable. Peaceful and quiet location. If you're looking to stay in an Irish castle, you can't go wrong with Solis Lough Eske.

This hotel is perhaps one of Irelands finest . The whole experience left me fully satisfied and i would definelty return .
The bedrooms are beautiful and very tastefully decorated . The public areas are well maintained and elegant .
This hotel is a must visit its slightly pricey but worth it for special occasions

I haven't got a lot of time to write this review, but I wanted to register it as soon we returned... the hotel was stunning - the staff couldn't have been more helpful, the surrounds were exquisite, the breakfast was just as I imagined - delicious, especially the eggs! Incidentally, the chef cooking the eggs at his station was an absolute delight!
We were only there for one evening and happened upon the hotel by accident but we are so glad we did.
Thank you for making our last night in Ireland so wonderful, we had had a number of previous disappointments, the final being our flight cancelled because of the volcanic ash, but this hotel did not let us down at all and more than made up for earlier mishaps.

Stayed for two nights recently and was hugely impressed. Beautiful surroundings and sympathetic decor, and every frill one would expect from a five-star establishment. In particular, the staff were extraordinarily attentive without being in any way bothersome. We ate in the restaurant both nights and the food and service was of the highest quality. The waiting staff and kitchen staff dealt most helpfully and professionally with my requirements on the first night when I informed them of my coeliac disease and on the second night, even though some of the staff were different, gluten free bread arrived automatically to our table and again I was advised on the suitably of each dish, and even had a dessert modified especially for me. The entire stay was a great pleasure- we'll be back!

Situated in breathtaking countryside with the nearby Blue Stack mountains rising up above tranquil Lough Eske. And yes, the mountains really do have a smokey blue hue! The welcome at reception is warm and attentive. The bell boy carried our luggage and parked our car and had to be pressed to take a tip. The room was very quiet, large and luxurious, looking out over the splendid gardens with their intriguing sculptures. The bar is a lovely space with the most excellent bar manager who makes it such a friendly and yet stylish place to pass an hour or too. We ate in the restaurant and enjoyed wonderful, fresh, Irish sourced food, served with quiet efficiency. We swam in the lovely pool and walked alongside Lough Eske. We only stayed one night and yet it seemed longer and we came home refreshed and determined to visit again.
