Well kept apartment close to airport with easy access to downtown Dublin. Owners personable and easy to contact if needed. Made for a wonderful visit to Ireland.
Great apartment, easily accommodated six of us comfortably. Kitchen was well equipped for us to make breakfasts in the morning. Located in a quiet area, not far from the airport. We used the local Spa for groceries and took short taxi rides to the city in the morning and evenings. Communication with Brian and Caroline was brilliant with quick responses to my emails. Also, meeting arrangements to hand over keys and talk through apartment and local amenities went very smoothly. We appreciated Brian and Caroline's flexibility in allowing us to access the apartment early and leave our bags during our final day in Dublin, so we could pick them up on our way to the airport at the end of our stay.
Close proximity to the airport, also walking distance to a beautiful park, coffee shop, supermarket and Crown Plaza Hotel.
Owners at request added additional table, chairs. Also, without request added Christmas decorations to make for a great Irish welcome!
I loved this apartment and wished I could transport it back to NYC with me. Clean, Spacious, Warm, Cozy, Quiet, Bright. There two rooms with full/ queen sized bed each and a room with a bunk. The bunk sleeps 2 on the bottom and 1 on top. There's tho bathrooms. It's walking distance from Aldi's Supermarket (Trader Joe's sister brand), a strip mall with movie theater, and park. While close to the airport, it's about a $26-30USD taxi ride to central Dublin. There was a two day bus strike.
Caroline greeted me on time and with a smile. She explained the ABC's, walked me through her "How-to-Binder" which included how to use the dishwasher, dryer, internet, call a cab, order food, use the bus, lock the windows, etc). She had a nice welcome to Ireland gift waiting for me. She responded to any late night inquiries in a timely fashion and answered all my questions.
Take the free shuttle bus from the airport to the Crowne Plaza Northwood. It leaves every 20 min from terminal 2, Coach Park 14, right next to the church. Once at the hotel, walk towards apartment buildings left of the hotel for about 10mins. Pass the nursing home. You'll spot the apartment complex across the street.
Find Aldi's and try its really great selection of food made in Ireland.
Keep in mind that food delivery starts after 5pm.
Download a taxi booking app. Taxis'll meet you whenever you want, wherever you want. Many apps are free to use. Beware, if you keep a taxi waiting expect to pay an additional $5Euro.
If in NYC, change your money at A & S Foreign Exchange on 357 7th Ave.

Only stayed for a few nights midweek, but in that short stay id have to say the flat is well worth the money. Very clean, all mod cons and the owners were on the ball with any queries we had. The transport links to the centre of Dublin couldn't have been any handier...by car it took 20/25 in mourning traffic.
All in all, a great travelling experience.. I Would highly recommend recommend to anyone thinking of visiting Irelands capital city.
