Excellent location, cheap room, nice staff (the one girl we dealt with in reception) We passed the door a few times in the car while looking for it, found it on foot, above the pub Sweeneys, seperate door, tiny hall, we used the lift to the reception on 2nd floor, nearly tripped getting into the lift as the floor is lifting, the reception you couldn't swing a cat in it, not that you'd want to ! Our room was on the 4th floor, the window was open and could only be closed by staff so called reception she came straight up, told us it can only be opened or closed by staff, that didn't bother us, before going out I used the toilet and complimentary soap, opened the bin to put the wrapper in and it turned out the bin wasn't cleaned from previous occupant, let's just say it was obviously a female ! Ugh ! The tiny tv on the wall had a dvd player on top so as I'm nosey I wanted to look at it and i reckon the thing hadn't been dusted in months........ The chair in the tiny room was filthy seriously hoover under the cushion. I will not ever, be staying in this b&b again and would not recommend it to a friend.

This hotel is manky!Do not waste your money and stay here!!!Myself and my boyfriend stayed for one night and instead of wanting to relax in the room, we wanted to get out of it. We paid €90 for one night and for €10 more could have got somewhere much nicer, looked like it was worth €40 at most!Pictures online are completely deceiving! The paint is peeling off walls. The bed throw was manky with stains all over it..looked like it had been a long time since seeing a good clean. Room was cold, gap under doorway, not very private, room tiny!Hotel in general was poorly kept and very delapitated looking. This would only suit for myabe a gang of lads on a heavy weekend drinking who don't care where they pass out. The one nice thing? The bathroom was really nice, staff ok.That's it!Felt uncomfortable there in general.

Room Tip: Tip:Book somewhere else!:-)

I stayed at Le Cirk Dublin in July and i would not recommend this place to anyone. My room was broken into and had my camera, ipod touch and other things stolen.

The police came and they told the staff that we needed a different room so they could finger print it, they agrred whle the Garda were there and as soon as they left we were told we couldn't get a different room.

So this hotel has pretty much left a sour taste in my mouth...

Stayed at this hotel for 1 night and was happy with my choice. The hotel entrance is quite difficult to find and we walked past it once before spotting it tucked away next to the bar. The reception was a bit strange,on the second floor but dont let this put you off. The room was clean with a lovely bathroom, tea nad coffee making facilities, hairdryer and safe. The breakfast downstairs in the bar was exceptional and the staff, friendly.
The only negatives I can mention are that when we stayed it was really warm and the air-con couldnt be adjusted so the room was quite stuffy at night and there was no view but if like us you are just looking for somwhere to crash for 1 or 2 nights then this hotel is a great choice.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the 4th floor - the bar downstairs has live music but we didnt hear a thing on the...

For a short stay in Dublin I think most people will be happy with this hotel, the room, the position and price is pretty good. The biggest fault with this hotel is the entrance. First impressions may not be too good, but don’t be deceived by the worn carpet at the entrance, and the odd reception room on second floor. People are friendly and accommodating.
Our room was a decent size, clean but basic. It had a good size bathroom. Odd little things like flat batteries in TV remote, shower tap and mixer working opposite to temperature means you must have a sense of humour. There was some condensation problem on windows in the morning and when using the shower. If you face Temple Bar area there will be noise but it doesn’t go on all night. But remember you are in a great part of the city surrounded by restaurants and the entertainment district so why would you want to stay inside.
The location is great, close to the shopping district and Gareth street, Temple Bar and O'Connell Street. Easy walk to Trinity College and museums, the train station is close as well. The Aircoach bus stop is round the corner as well as the tourism centre, perfect place to pick up city tours.

We were worried about going here after reading some of the previous reviews, however we needn't have been. The rooms were large, bright and clean. There were plenty of plug points and mirrors, which I haven't found in previous hotels I've stayed in! It was noisy but the hotel is in the centre of Dublin above a bar with live music on 3 floors! However, I had no trouble getting to sleep after a few drinks and lots of walking around Dublin! Ear plugs were provided in the room but we didn't need them. The hotel is on a busy road with lots nearby and Temple Bar a very short walk. Breakfast was a choice of continental or eggs and bacon (with potatoes and tomato. Overall, I was more than happy with the choice of hotel and the receptionist was very helpful and friendly.
