“Great family night out in Dublin”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 August 2014

The Brazen Head pub was a very cool place to visit, and the folklore and storytelling entertainment for the evening was icing on the cake. Philip, our storyteller, was very entertaining and welcoming. Our 6 year old and 3 year old sat through the evening without any issues.
I highly recommend this night out for families in Dublin.
Things to consider for families with young kids: there are several sets of stairs to climb to get to the banquet room - so you will be carrying your stroller up. The room itself is a bit crowded, so our stroller etc had to be kept in another room, which was not an issue, just something to consider.

“Worth every penny.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 August 2014

My friend and I were in Dublin for the weekend and we decided to go the Brazen Head for an evening of food, folklore and fairies as neither of us know anything about Irish history or culture. This event turned out to be the highlight of our trip. Ollie, our story teller was a fountain of knowledge and knew how to tell a good story. He made the whole event fun as opposed to just a history lesson. The food was excellent and my Irish fish cakes, Irish stew and apple pie were most fulfilling. The audience were encouraged to join in and we had a great time. I would rev comment this event to everyone.

“Outstanding evening”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 August 2014

We didn't really know what to expect from this evening but were delighted. An excellent three course meal, seated upstairs in Ireland's oldest pub. Set menu, but enough choice that everyone should find something they like. Stories, history and songs from a genuinely friendly and welcoming host - Ollie is a born raconteur, and that's a fact. We absolutely recommend you make time for this enchanting evening - you WILL l leave here with a smile on your face. In an expensive city, this represented true value for money.

“Must do in Dublin”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 August 2014

This was a blast. The event was 3 hours long, but was so entertaining it seemed like it went by much faster. Philip, our storyteller, was amazing! The musicians that came in during dinner were also great, and very funny. If you schedule one evening thing while in Dublin, this should be it, especially if you are interested in folklore.

“Magically Entertaining”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 August 2014

Atmosphere: FANTASTIC. Setting takes place in the oldest pub in Ireland which makes the storytelling come to life. Food: DELICIOUS. Great choices from a set menu that should please everyone in your group. Alcohol not included but reasonably priced. Great table service. STORYTELLING: Enchanting, informative and extremely entertaining! Perfect synopsis of Irish history woven with origins of the fairies, leprechauns and all things "Irish". Helena = the loveliest!!! Helena also sang a few songs and her voice is BEAUTIFUL. While eating dinner, two Irish gentlemen performed traditional Irish music and again, fantastically entertaining. All in all, book it - great evening!
