My wife and I have breakfasted in Cafe Novo on many Saturdays over the past couple of months.
Without a doubt the full Irish Breakfast served here is the best we have sampled in the city.
Beautifully served and presented, eggs cooked to order, wonderful sausages, real fresh orange juice and tea served in a china teapot with china cups,
All in a civilised and quiet atmosphere.
The staff are extremely pleasant and friendly especially the lovely young lady from Adelaide who is a credit to the Restaurant.

Absolutely Super.

Back again real soon.

We enjoyed a lovely lunch here, We had purchased a groupon voucher and were a bit apprehensive about whether we would get the full service or " a watered down" version. What a pleasant surprise, our waitress took us to a window table, took our coats and then explained very clearly what the voucher entitled us to. We had 2 yummy bloody mary's, a steak, a burger, both served with the crispiest tastiest fries I've had in a long time. Both mains were well seasoned and very moreish, portions were good even for a very hungry man. The dining area was spotless, there was a great buzz and I will have no hesitation in recommending cafe novo and look forward to a return visit.

Had another excellent lunch at cafe novo last Friday. Spicy tuna salad nicoise - delicious - beautifully presented! Service could be better - that is the only weakness! Food excellent.

Don't know why I hadn't been to Cafe Novo before - perhaps the narrow frontage suggested a small cramped interior - quite the opposite is the case; there is a bar running down the left hand side inside the door with some tables alongside and beyond this it opens out into an airy stylish dining room.
It is called a cafe and makes no pretensions to be a fine dining restaurant. It offers gastro pub standards - fish and chips, burgers, pork belly - but does them really well. We munched on a very generous portion of bread, hummus and tapenade while we waited for our mains and enjoyed our excellent cocktails - a rum based mango and orange one for himself and a firecracker chocolate, raspberry and chilli one for me. Mains were ample so we did not have dessert.
Hats off for having all of the wines on offer by the glass as well as the bottle.Good sound system with well spaced tables Spotless toilets. The service was excellent - take a bow, Olivia and Roisin!
