We booked an Early Bird table for 6pm on our way to IFI and arrived back on time. The staff are very professional and friendly. The Early Bird menu is short but well-chosen - we had the leek risotto and terrine starters and porchette and sea bream for mains. Total cost including bottle of house white wine, large bottle of sparkling water, 2 X fries, tea, coffee and tip was €82. Service was slightly too attentive i.e. topping up wine glasses too quickly (and not realising that I had made a spritzer). We shall return!

Food is good but nothing exceptional for the price bracket. The service is attentive and the restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere, The decor is muted and calm. I liked the option to have wine in smaller quantities than bottle size as several are served in a carafe, so you can switch between courses without breaking the bank or ordering glasses. Well done for that. Charging extra for sides can add considerably to the bill and I think those days of padding out the bill should be over. I have also visited for coffee in the front part on weekdays and really like it except on some days when the staff are playing their music selection for their own amusement as they prepare for the lunch period. It is usually too loud and totally at odds with the muted colour palette and atmosphere. Good coffee and like the herb infused water available, again something others should emulate. While the food is good and the ambience is good I rate this restaurant average when account is taken of the price and competition and as nothing greatly objectionable or commendable I would not rush back. Maybe if it sharpens up the pricing and pays more attention to the flavours and less to the descriptions it could be up there to match its decor/ambience. I would really like to see this place succeed as it has lots of potential.

This is a top restruant, food was excellent and service too, 10 euro starters and mains 25 desery bout 10 so not to dear in fairness for serious grub that youd find hard to get in most places. The place was buzzing and had a great feel about it, all our courses were enjoyable and the menu wasnt overly fussy which is a welcome change. With wine and drinks it woukd be between 150 to 200 for 2 roughly but its well worth it as the food was the star here

This place has it down to a tee. Warm friendly welcome and 5 star service from start to finish. The fried hens egg starter was to die for and I opted for a bottle off the house white sav blanc which for the price was of a very high quality. I had the duck as a main and my partner had the pork which was to die for. Considering the standard of food and service this place is great value and is a must visit in town. Well done 5 stars

Thank KildareBen
