A group of us went out for dinner and we haven't stopped talking about this place! Loved everything about it. Great wine selection and excellent cocktails. Service was fab (thanks Emmit!). The seafood appetizer was lovely, best fish cakes ever (and this group travels and eats out alot). Now the steak....I had the filet and it was grand! Cooked perfectly medium rare! My friends steak cane out overcooked and they promptly fixed the problem with a new steak, no questions asked. It was the perfect example of how things should work in a resteraunt, no one is perfect all the time but when things go wrong they are remedied quickly and taken care of! We are sending our board here next week and have booked our office Christmas party here! To many more filets to come!

We met up with some friends at The Chophouse and were not disappointed. The atmosphere was comfortable and relaxed and our server was attentive and really pleasant. The appetizers were average (butternut squash tortellini and the caramelized king scallops) but the beef we had for dinner was amazing. We had the rib eye and the strip loin and each was seasoned well and prepared perfectly. Following dinner, we moved outside to enjoy some evening drinks. The bartender and our server were most accommodating in preparing some excellent hot Irish whiskey's and really making us feel welcome.

We had a great meal on Monday 4th August.

Our group included a vegetarian and although the menu did not list any veggie options, the team were very willing to accommodate with a number of suggested non meat or fish options.

Its difficult to be critical as the team were so warm and welcoming however a few things were unavailable which on a set menu for the day was a bit surprising however these were flagged with their substitute offered (strawberries for raspberries). The restaurant was exceptionally busy for a bank holiday Monday evening and I guess this may have impacted deliveries.

Ideally also we'd have liked to have dined a bit later, but the latest table we could secure was 7pm. I don't believe this was because they had another booking on the table later so I can only surmise this was so the kitchen would be able to close down "early" which may or may not be the case.

Moving back to the positives though, another of our group forgot to ask for a receipt to expense her part of the meal and returned the next day to find the waitress could remember course by course and drink by drink what she'd ordered and sorted it out - pretty impressive!

The food was fabulous and thoroughly deserving of the awards they have won and because of its location out of the city centre, you don't pay the inflated tourist prices of other places in town. Would thoroughly recommend and return in a shot.

Went to Chophouse twice on my one week visit to Dublin. The food, service and wine was great both times. I genuinly liked the place. It's so rare to find a place where food is simply awesome and sophisticated but there's no fuss - the service is relaxed and friendly and the place is cozy. I'd go again anytime.
