“Good food need to better explain early bird menu”
Reviewed 26 May 2014 via mobile

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was delicious and the restaurant ambiance was great. Our waitress neglected to point out that certain choices on the Early Bird menu were 2-5 Euro more per item than the other choices so we were a bit surprised when our check total was higher than expected.

“Cosy place, good service and nice food.”
Reviewed 25 May 2014

I have been to this place several times before...Last Friday I happened to dine here again..Its a cosy place....modern interior...dimmed lights ( I like this type of lightning...creates intimacy). Nice food...Quiet...Rarely see kids here...Mostly couples..Prices are prob best in the city.

“A disappointment”
Reviewed 24 May 2014

We had been recommended to try the Guinness stew at the Celt in Dublin. On arrival at the Celt we were unable to get a table, however we were passed into their sister restaurant Le Bon Crubeen. We were assured that as everything came out the same kitchen we would get the same meal at the Celt prices. When the meal was served my wife said that her meal was basically potatoes and veg and was totally missing any sign of meat. On pointing this out to the waitress she then proceeded to get a dish full of meat for my wife. From high expectations we were totally deflated with the end result. The one plus was that the litre of water supplied was totally free of charge.

Im sorry you could not get a table in the Celt Bar and yes we do serve both Restaurant and Bar from one kitchen...and yes every now and the a Chowder or Stew when served from a pot will get more fish or veg or meat...or not enough...I'm glad the waitress brought you more meat to compensate for our mistake....I have memories of being a child of asking my mum why my brother got an extra slice of roast beef.....But like ourselves she got up and gave me one more...Thanks for your review

“Friendly, attentive waiters, jazz relaxed feel”
Reviewed 24 May 2014 via mobile

I've read a few reviews criticising this place but I've been twice & both times had a very enjoyable experience. First time we sat downstairs at the front of the restaurant. We had 2 courses , mussels for starter, lamb & rib eye. All very tasty and staff were efficient. The second time we went on a groupon voucher , seated upstairs (relaxed dining)- we had different service staff - 2 friendly young guys who were very attentive & chatty. The One Direction concert was underway & we chatted & giggled about that. Despite being on a 'voucher' our food was very tasty to the same level as our previous visit without 'voucher status'. We left with full happy bellies & a desire to return.
