The hotel is conveiently located adjacent to the O2 arena, which makes it ideal for spending the night after a show. The tram line is just outside, which is very convenient for accessing the city center. The room service was quite good, the gym is acceptable for a hotel and the internet was fast. Since folks do stay the night in conjunction with concers at the 02, it can be a bit noisy. The hotel is modern and the rooms are a good size.

I chose the gibson last minute after cancelling the Four Seasons for location purposes but wasn't disappointed !! The staff were VERY welcoming and my room was really nice. My son loved the electric blind. Only downside was the speaker in the bathroom as you couldn't turn the tv volume below 5 it echoed from the bathroom and was to loud and no biscuits with your tea making facilities :-(. But the breakfast was really nice, great selection, and poached eggs cooked how i asked. Overall its a great modern hotel, with a few tweaks it could be perfect.

This hotel is great. Spotless, modern, very comfortable, breakfast is pretty good. I can't speak to the value, as we were here on a tour, but the place is awesome. It is not in the city center, but the tram stop is right out front, so that makes it super easy to get there. Very happy we stayed here.

I've stayed at the Gibson in July 2014. The rooms was large with an excellent bathroom, very friendly and helpful staff at reception and fast wifi. The bus from the airport almost stops at the front door. As the hotel is situated in the docklands its a bit out of the city and away from the pubs and night life. But the terminus of the red tram line is just a stone through away from the hotel. If you walk it will take you about 20-30 min along the Liffey, which is okay if you don't mind walking. Only a minor negative was that the carpet in the room had some obvious stains but that should not overshadow a pleasant stay.

Stayed Wed & Thu nights. Easy transfer from airport (1st stop). Very efficient and friendly front desk staff at all times. Room was well equipped and shutters certainly block out the light as we slept soundly but breakfast was available until 10:30 so we didn't miss out. As breakfast was so good we booked dinner and had a very good meal accompanied by good service. Docklands is a bit quiet but still developing area. Its a 25 minute walk to O'Connell St along the river which is pleasant once you get past the first, undeveloped, bit though the LUAS stop outside the hotel provides cheap, frequent & reliable service to the city, allowing you to save your walking legs for sightseeing. Booked a 2 night break in advance direct with the hotel so got a good rate and didn't pay until we checked out.
