“Not bad....but noisy!”
Reviewed 22 August 2014 via mobile

Before booking this hotel I checked on here and saw that a few people had written that the hotel was noisy...to be honest I thought people may be overreacting but I can honestly say it was the noisiest hotel that I've ever stayed in!!
The rooms are nice and spacious with a large king size bed, desk and table and chairs. Unfortunately our room was overlooking the Czech bar which doesn't close until about 2am, then at about 7am they start delivering and unloading the new kegs of beer. The second night wasn't too bad but then the cleaners decided to have a long conversation at the top of their voices right outside our bedroom door at 8am. Needless to say, we were shattered.
Location was great but I would suggest they invest in double glazing for the rooms at the front of the hotel!

We stayed at the Paramount Hotel at the end of Temple bar. Some people we bumped into said the area was a bit doggy, however my friend and I never felt uncomfortable at anytime. The hotel was lovely a few decoration issues some wall paper peeling and a loose tile in the bathroom but overall a good very clean room. We used it as our base as we were out all day. Breakfast was lovely a full Irish breakfast with cereal fruit and yogurt and fresh juices if you wanted them. The shower was very powerful also and clean towels every day.Beds were also comfortable. Would go back to this hotel. Staff really helpful on reception also and allowed us to get into our room early

Room Tip: we had room 408 which was fine not facing on to Temple Bar

The first room we were given was 2 single beds pushed together and the sheet had....interesting stains on. We were moved very quickly. The next room was good. Very noisy outside but we had enough to drink to sleep through it.

In the morning a member of staff let themselves into our room without knocking and we were naked on our bed. I called reception and received an apology, no explanation and nothing else. We left feeling slightly unnerved as to the reason someone was creeping into our room in the early hours?

Room Tip: If you stay, wear pyjamas and ask for a fan at reception

My friend and I have just returned from a three night stay at the Paramount. We had a room at the back of the hotel which was quiet of a night time. The beds were comfortable with crisp white sheets. The room had a television, tea and coffee making facilities, free wi fi , a fan and a hairdryer.
The hotel was perfectly situated for restaurants, bars and places of interest.
Breakfast was delicious and there were options of cooked or continental.
Staff were polite, friendly and very willing to answer any questions that we had.
We will definitely be returning to the Paramount . Thanks for a great time.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back of the hotel are quieter.

A short walk from most of the eateries and bars in the Temple Bar area, this hotel is within easy staggering distance after any possible dining and/or drinking overindulgence.
Staff are friendly and helpful.
Rooms are reasonably sized.Ours had a bath and shower combination.
Air-conditioning here appears not to be a standard hotel norm,so if you are visiting during the warmer months,it is recommended that you request a fan when you check in.
If you are planning a good night's sleep, do not book a room overlooking the street, especially opposite the Czeck Inn.
Here the party carries on till early in the morning with patrons spilling out onto the street to chat or smoke.
Flat screen TV is available, but we were not here to watch TV!
Next time I will request a room at the rear of the hotel, otherwise happy with the price, accomodation and location.

Room Tip: Request a fan when checking in and book a room not facing the street.

We found this place to be perfect! Great location to where ever we wanted to walk-Guinness Storehouse, the Zoo, Jamieson's, Temple Bar!! The breakfast was what we needed to start our day. The staff were so awesome and so very helpful with trying to help me get back my lost suitcase and were always helping us figure out directions to where we needed to go! We hope to be back and would definitely stay here again!

Room Tip: When staying a few nights ask for rooms facing away from street to cut down on night noise

The location of this hotel is it's main feature. It is within walking distance of everything! The rooms are nice, if a bit worn around the edges, but clean and spacious. I didn't find the noise an issue at all as it's far enough away from the main, late night bars. Staff are friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again if visiting Dublin.
