For a small museum tucked away in Dublin, the amount of information and artifacts in this place is INCREDIBLE. I had allotted just two hours and found myself rushing through by the end - I'll definitely be back! They go beyond Joyce and Yeats to really examine both notable Irish writers but the movements and political/cultural implications throughout Irish history. Plus, the free audio guide really adds to the experience. If you have any interest in books or literature, go go go!

I was so looking forward to visiting here as I studied Scottish and Irish literature at university. However, there really is not a lot to it. Displays are disappointing and uninspiring. There is a wealth of talent in Irish writing and it deserves to be showcased in a much better may.

The Dublin Writer's Museum was a great find. An interesting audio guide leads you along the lives of several generations of Irish writers. Their lives give some context to their written work. Veru engaging. Much better than the Joyce Museum a few blocks away

This is an understated treasure trove. Ultra reasonable admission, and simply beautifully put together. Marvelously curated, marvelous notes, a stunning backdrop of the Georgian mansion. A really strikingly comprehensive narrative of the arc of Irish writing, from the earliest days to the present, and a fantastic bookstore to boot. Huge thumbs up.

Went because it was right next to the Hugh Lane Gallery and it was covered by the Dublin pass. You get a free audio guide that has a lot of information on it and I found myself sitting down next to the display cases to hear the whole thing for that numbered item. Not for everyone but interesting if you like literature. My husband who loved his British Literature Honors class really enjoyed himself.
