Had Guinness at Mulligans on our regular monthly trip. It was sour & told the barman. After some discussion it was replaced but done with such bad grace that we left. We went for some excellent and musc cheaper Guinness in Kennedys and O'Reillys round the corner. In my 30 years living in Ireland; I have never known bar staff so unwilling to replace a dodgy pint. Perhaps they thought we were tourists. TOURISTS BEWARE!

This was a great old bar for some afternoon drinking. This is a no mess kind of place: beer and nuts, no food, nothing fancy. However, what makes this place so special are the people, both staff and clientele. We were immediately welcomed into conversation with everyone in the place who genuinely were interested in getting to know us and let us know about themselves and their city. I would highly recommend spending some time hear for some great beer and conversation.

Surprising variety of beers: two national brews on cask with other regional and locals as well. Mellow instrumental music. Long narrow roof raised at the rear with natural wood beam tables underneath. Padded chairs and bench seating along the walls of white painted plaster over light green wood. Long mirrored red wood barback.
Two casks were out :( The Trouble Blonde and Galway Golden (cask) were both OKAY. It was nice to find the White Gypsy Belgian Ale on tap.
Definitely in my Top-10 list for now.

Great place for a creamy pint of stout. It's a Dublin institution, always packed and there is a reason. If you like Guinness go here.
