Owner description: A small, old-fashioned shop selling fishing supplies.

Called into Rory's to get some gear and advice before going on holidays.

Staff very helpful and kitted me out with all necessary equipment. Had been looking at their web before I called in and intended to buy a certain type of reel. They were decent to advise me that this was not suitable for type of fishing I wished to do. They even gave me contact numbers/addresses for various fisheries . Will definitely call again.

Popped in to Rory's Fishing Tackle Supplies in Dublin on Temple Bar and was astounded at how poor the service was.

It seems that far from being in the business of actually providing help, advice or assistance for fishing equipment the lady who owns the shop has indeed taken it upon herself to be as rude as possible to anyone who has the misfortune of needing anything approaching even an adequate level of service.

So rude were the staff that in the end I ended up leaving my purchase at the counter and cycling over to another store over on the other side of Dublin. Unless you are absolutely desperate for tackle or just need a single item I wouldn't bother with with Rory's Tackle Shop in Temple Bar Dublin.

This shop is amazing. It's the oldest trading shop in Temple Bar and is packed to the brim with all types of fishing tackle and archery goods.

Staff very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. They stock great t-shirts with the saying on the back if you want to be happy for a day get drunk, for a week get married, for life go fishing. Even a picture of Amy Winehouse in front window showing off one of the t-shirts.

The shop is well worth a visit, even if you don't fish. There is something here for everyone, pocket knives, Irish made fishing flies, Kelly Storm Kettles, rain gear and a massive range of rods, reels and accessories. Best fishing shop in Dublin, if not Ireland and famous amongst anglers worldwide.
