Hostal was very clean, good private room. Wasn't as noisy as I would expect at temple bar, good comfy bed and hot showers. Good breakfast, nice people. But couldn't find Tv room and although on the last night someone tried to get into our room would def stay again.

One of the cleanest hostels I have ever seen! Breakfast was in ample supply, desk clerks are friendly.....

It is attached to the bar.... so it can be a bit noisy, but I loved my stay here, I'd reccomend it to anyone who would listen.
It's right in the heart of temple bar and reception is 24 hours, so if you're in town to party this is a great place to stay. Wifi is only available to the really expensive rooms.... but if internet access is not a concern.... why worry about it.

Great place

  • Liked — Cleanliness!
  • Disliked — ease of access for luggage (there are lifts, but it's an old building with LOTS of doorways)

Twin ensuite room: bathroom was ok, top floor, so not much noise, but the matresses were awful, so it was very hard to sleep.

Great clean rooms.

only quibbles are the noise but thats par for the course in that area of Dublin, the rooms got very hot and that there weren't enough key card things for the room with alot of people sharing.

Great hostel though one of the best I have been in.

A group of 8 of us stayed at this hostel for one night. The rooms were basic but clean. The perfect place to stay if you're going for a night out.

If you're planning to party till 3am then this is the place for you. Otherwise sleeping was incredibly difficult. The amount of noise that echoed in from the downstairs bar was sometimes completely unbelievable. Singing and chanting would be heard nightly to the wee hours of the morning, then before 8am the sound of metal tables being dragged across the cobble stone floor was akin to a horse hooves against a chalkboard. The staff was quite odd and never seemed to get the price of the stay right with any of the guests (tried to double charge us). There was no locker storage, only tiny "safe deposit boxes" for those interested in keeping anything safe (for a fee). The mattress was so thin that feeling the metal frame through it was a given and there were burn holes throughout all of my bedding. It was maybe one of the worst hostels I've ever stayed in (and I've probably been to about 100 in my life). On the bright side, the pub downstairs was one of my favourites in all of Dublin with various different rooms and music and it was a happening place every nite of the week (hence noise being a given). Next time I'd probably try the Barnacles down the road also in the Temple bar district.
