A great place to visit all walks of life pass through here. Lovely restaurant at Ashtown end. Lots to do - can jog, cycle, horse ride, visit the zoo, watch a polo match, or just walk and watch life go on.

A real gem in the centre of Dublin town. So great to have such a public amenity. I heard there used to be riding of horses here but we didnt get an opportunity to check it out and unfortunately chose a bad place in Stepaside, just outside of dublin. We visited the park early in the morning around 8am and got to see loads of deer roaming free around the park.

Huge park little outside of City Centre, it's walkable from National Museum for example if you are in decent shape and you have good shoes. Main attraction is the Zoo, but many other things to see too, like Wellington Monument and President's "house". Nice thing is that there are lots of deers running free in the park.

The music was amazing, can't say the same about the venue.
It was a hot June day, so hot they started handing our cups of water to the crowd during the concert. It took about an hour to walk from Phoenix Park entrance to the concert site. Once you got through security there was a huge stage, tons of porta potties, and plenty of food and drink vendors.

In hindsight, I would have sat towards the back of the lawn-I would have still been able to see the musicians on stage, blown up on the screen, hear the music, and not been shoved, almost peed on, and suffocated.

The show went from about 2:00-11:00pm. 5-6 bands played before Mumford, including Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeroes whom were amazing! Edward came out to the crowd several times. My roommate and I were really close to the stage which was great in the beginning but then became the worst choice of the night. As it grew nearer the time for Mumford & Sons, people, mostly wasted teenagers, kept coming in closer, pushing and shoving trying to get nearer the stage. At one point this slob just started peeing next to us. I couldn't get fresh air and acquired a headache. I ended up fighting my way out of the crowd and left about 10pm.

The music was amazing, I just wish I had been able to enjoy it more from the back.

It is a pleasant area for a stroll. The best way to get there is by one of a few buses including both lines of popular sightseeing buses. The zoo is in this area, little cafe/ tea house, the residence of the President of Ireland, US Embassy, Wellington Monument, places to walk and run.
