“First class service”
Reviewed 11 July 2012

We stayed at the Aberdeen Lodge for 5 nights and were not disappointed. The hotel is in a quiet location a short walk away from the local Dart station giving easy access to Dublin city centre. We also took the Dart in both directions along the coast stopping off at various stops to explore which only cost 5 Euros. All of the staff at the Lodge are very helpful and friendly, and go out of the way to make sure that your stay is enjoyable. We were always greeted with the offer of tea or coffee when we returned from our day trips and they were always available to provide any information you required. The roooms were very clean and the breakfasts most enjoyable. I would definately stay here again, for service it is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed.

The Aberdeen Lodge is comfortable place with excellent service. The location is just a few minutes walk from the Irish Sea and the local DART station along tree lined streets. This hotel was very quiet and clean with good sized comfortable rooms. The staff treated us as if we were staying at a friend's home. You start each day with a friendly smile and a breakfast that is out of this world. The Inn Keepers provide excellent information and great recommendations for tours and site seeing. When you return from your day, your greeted with an offer of tea, coffee, ice, ect to help you wind down from your day. When I return to Dublin, I'm returning to the Aberdeen Lodge.

Room Tip: Our room in the Front had a nice sea breeze to keep it cool.

We found the Aberdeen Lodge online. We weren't disappointed. The proprietors Ann and Pat made sure our experience was great. Rooms were very clean. The hotel was well located. Easy to get to the city or out to the country. Breakfasts were very good. We would definitely stay again.

Located south of Dublin city centre, Aberdeen Lodge is in a beautiful neighborhood, and less than 10 minutes from the Dart which gets you to the city centre in about 8 minutes.
I sent numerous questions to Ann via email before we arrived, and she was so helpful! Trying to decide whether to rent a car or not, she encouraged me to do so, saying most Americans quickly adapted to driving on the left. And she was right!
The Lodge itself is beautiful, and the rooms are nice and large. The breakfast is great, and everyone at the lodge is friendly and helpful. Pat helped us when we arrived, as well as with maps and taxi service. Anyone planning to get a cab from the airport to Aberdeen Lodge might talk with Pat first. We did not, and ended up being charged 45 euros for the cab ride, instead of the 28 euros we paid when Pat set up our return cab ride to the airport.

Our travel agent suggested this place for our trip to Dublin. Having used her for several years I trusted her and did not do any research. WOW!! We had 15 family members arriving and departing over different days. But Pat and Ann the owners were so welcoming to all of us. The back yard for the children, the breakfast that they serve was awesome. You must have the pancakes!

The easy walk to the DART and into town makes the location perfect. The quaintness of the place is just an extra perk. Not even sure where to start from the warm welcome with tea/coffee and an introduction to the area to the arranging of cabs to food after the kitchen closed for hungry children to wine for the adults to impeccable service with a smile.

The rooms were clean and well furnished. The area is quiet and yet close to so much. Pat's recommendation for where to eat were perfect. There is a restaurant called Brown's which is just a short walk that is excellent. Pat and Ann made reservations whenever we needed them (with that many people we had to have reservations). I forgot to order a cab when we were leaving but Ann remembered and had already taken care of it.

You should only stay here if you want an excellent hotel with absolutely beautiful surroundings and absolutely incredible service. The entire staff is wonderful and more than willing to make sure your visit to Dublin is everything you could ask for. Absolutely recommend the Aberdeen Lodge!

Room Tip: all the rooms were excellent but the garden view adds a special touch!

During our recent holiday to Ireland, we stayed at the Aberdeen Lodge. The location is perfect, nestled in a quiet residential neighborhood, conveniently located from both the beach (for a romantic stroll) and the DART (to economically travel around the city). It is also a short walk to the nearby town for dinner and a pint. Our hosts were wonderful, extremely helpful with directions and suggestions for a lively irish session in the city! Our room was peaceful and relaxing with a comfy king size bed and irish linens. The breakfast was delightful with a wonderful full Irish and cold breakfast section! We also met the resident feline and felt right at home!!! Highly recommend the Aberdeen!! High quality and great value! We will be back!
