Thanks to Pat, Anne & staff for a terrific 3 day stay. Nothing was too much bother, lovely room, brilliant breakfast. Thanks to Pat for all his advice on touring Dublin, would return for a longer stay. Our friends enjoyed their stay too. Great location not far from the sea and Dublin city centre via a short train ride

Room Tip: all the rooms we seen looked good, our room 21 and our friends in 28 faced out onto the back garden

Chanced upon Aberdeen Lodge when looking for somewhere to stay in Dublin. Only a 10 min train ride from the centre of the city, this place is worth it. Located near the bay and a short walk to Sandymount village for restaurants & pubs, it's ideally located.
Anne & Pat are great hosts, the rooms are well appointed and comfortable and the staff are awesome. Highly recommended.

My husband and I spent two days at the Aberdeen Lodge after spending three nights at a conference hotel near Trinity College. It was literally and figuratively a breath of fresh air to step into the Aberdeen Lodge. I felt completely at home with the friendly staff, lovely furnishings, welcoming neighborhood, and perfect breakfasts. My husband and I walked along the water and into Sandymount for lunch, and then we took the nearby train to Howth for dinner. We ordered eggs and salmon, as well as the traditional Irish breakfast, each morning, but we also enjoyed the beautiful spread of scones, Irish soda bread, fruit, granola, yogurt, etc. We were picked up at the doorstep for our Wild Wicklow tour, and the staff arranged a convenient and inexpensive ride to the airport. I highly recommend a stay at the Aberdeen!

Room Tip: The top floor was cozy and quiet

From the moment we arrived (early!!) Pat and his staff could not do enough to help. they were well organised and made us feel very welcome. our room was lovely and by far and away it was the best breakfast we have both enjoyed in our extensive travels. Travel to Dublin centre is very easy and I would have no hesitation recommending the Aberdeen lodge to couples and families for breaks away.

we stayed at the Aberdeen Lodge during our Honeymoon in Ireland. We stayed at three hotels while in Ireland, and the Aberdeen Lodge was, hands down, our best experience. The owner, Pat, was just as friendly and helpful as could be. Also, he has a full staff, and every member of the staff was friendly and helpful. We truly felt welcomed. The hotel is outside of Dublin, but right by the DART commuter train, which drops you off in a central location and the ride is really nice. The area that hotel is in is really lovely and Dublin Bay is within walking distance -- the sight of Dublin Bay at low-tide is just incredibly dramatic. The breakfast was great too, plenty of options to choose from. When we return to the Dublin area we plan to stay there again, no question.

Aberdeen Lodge is a beautiful, comfortable, and elegant accommodation. I had a lovely room which was clean and nicely appointed. The bathroom was modern. Breakfast in the dining room was an experience - cloth tablecloths, lovely dishes, and best of all, of course, was the delicious food. It was truly fine dining. The innkeeper, Ann, was helpful and friendly and very welcoming. I would highly recommend Aberdeen Lodge to anyone visiting Dublin proper, which was near enough to get to easily while being outside the hustle and bustle of the city.

We were somewhat apprehensive even though Trip Advisor rated this B&B highly as we could not, in advance, know the character of the neighborhood where it was located, or how far it was from centre city. Weren't we pleased to know on arrival that it is in a beautiful residential neighborhood that was sublimely quiet. We were greeted upon arrival after a five hour trek from Killarney by Daniel who took our heavy bags upstairs while we drank the tea and had biscuits that he so kindly offered the weary travelers. Then he joined us and presented us with maps of Dublin and helped us create an itinerary for our two day, three night stay in Dublin. Then he booked a reservation at a wonderful restaurant that was a short walk from Aberdeen Lodge. As he said the DART was the way to get into Dublin. They run often, are very close to the B&B and reasonable in price. 10 minutes and you are at Trinity College, a great place to start any Dublin visit. The food at Aberdeen for breakfast was wonderful. Everybody there tried to make our stay perfect and they succeeded! I would think of no other place to stay when we return to Dublin. Thanks to all there!
