We stayed here for a couple of nights and our room was beautiful but we were on the ground floor and was awoken a few times by cars being moved about in the small car park adjacent to the room. The location is perfect and the linked restaurant was lovely. The breakfast was good with a varied selection. But due to the location I wouldn't advise people to stay here if your not up for some craic.

We will not stay at Harrington Hall until the noise problem is resolved. It is not acceptable to hear people singing, talking loud and carrying on up to 4:30am. Some nights the noise did not start until 10:30pm just the time when I'm trying to fall asleep. Come on !!! We paid serious money for a good night's sleep. If you want a good night sleep, this is not the place to stay at. There must be a curfew on the bars in the area and a noise restriction no later than midnight. Why should those who have paid money for a good night sleep suffer at the expense of inconsiderate others ? When we reserved, we asked for a quiet room in the back. That did not seem to work. Our high recommendation is no one should stay at Harrington Hall until the noise curfew is seriously solved.

Room Tip: Do not stay here. Take your money somewhere else.

This is a beautiful old house and is very kept well but we checked in at 3.30, went into our room and it was up in a heap.Back down to reception, and we had to wait 20 mins of the room to be cleaned. We were served cold coffee while we waited. The rooms are very hot alright as a previous reviewer said. The lifts had broken down after we came in from our evening out, which was a total inconvenience as I have a back injury and climbing 3 flights of stairs was not on my wish lis that eve.The next day there were signs up saying there would be no power between certain hours. It all seemed a bit unorganised to me.The car park is very small and you have to leave your keys with the staff so they can move about the cars to get one out.
Things I liked: The staff were lovely. The house is beautiful, beds were comfortable and the location couldn't be better.
Things I didn't like: Room was at front and the local nightclubs music was blaring into the room till the small hours along with the luas beeping passing the window. There were three of us in the room and only 2 cups.Towels were thread bear with holes in them and rock hard.Car park to small, you were being chased for you car keys all the time. And I really don't think it is worthy of its 4 stars.
Tip: Book a room at the back as you will get no sleep at front with street noise.

Room Tip: Book a room at the back. Will be quieter than front for sure.

Perfect central location just off St Stephens green. Lovely little hotel, with free parking, which is a real plus in a city where parking costs an arm and a leg. Room was beautiful and huge, actually more of a suite. Clean, comfortable and affordable. Couldn't ask for any more

Things I liked:
Good location.
Very nice breakfast selection and quality, good value if booked in advance.

Things I disliked:
Room was way too hot and stuffy. Asked for a fan but none were available at the time so we had to sleep in much discomfort for the first night. Having been travelling since 5am, it was unpleasant to find the room was so warm and that no other suggestions to make our stay more pleasurable were made. I had called prior to our stay to ensure my room would have a ceiling fan, though on arrival, nobody seemed to know if any of the rooms had a ceiling fan! With that said, the ceiling fan was useless, must be for decoration.
I feel my stay would have been made better if the staff were more approachable at reception. Also feel they could have done more to help, we were not happy the day we arrived or the following morning. I have stayed in many 4* hotels and the hotel could raise their standards.
Slept with window wide open so was very noisy got woken up several times during the night. Especially bad as the Football world cup was on.
Hair dryers did not work, went through 3.

Room Tip: If you are going in the Summer, make sure you request a fan to be put into your room. Request a qui...

Stay here with my sister for a theatre trip to Dublin recently. Hotel was ideally located for Gaiety Theatre that night and shopping on Grafton Street the next day, both only a short walk away, no need for taxis. Also very near St Stephen Green Park, we have lovely weather that week so we sat and soaked up the sun for a few hours, certainly didn't feel like we were in the City centre! Our room was spotlessly clean, good size. It had been recently painted. Thankfully we were allocated a room at the back, as there are nightclubs all along the street. They finish around 2am, but if you are at the front of the hotel you would definitely hear the revellers coming and going. The Luas pass right by the door, but the stop is further up the street. Very reasonable price for a hotel room with breakfast included for a midweek stay in Dublin. Beautiful sittingroom we didn't get to use, this would be very comfortable in winter or for a tired traveller needing to recharge.

Very surprised to have a room in the basement. We did not know that hotels existed where guests have to sleep in the basement having to listen to people walking past on the street above their heads. Very disappointing, esp considering the high price!
