“A truly Irish, Incredible night out suitable for everyone, young and old”
Reviewed 12 June 2011

The racing takes place every Wednesday, Thursday & Saturday night with Saturday being probably the busiest. The facility is comfortable and filled with an upbeat atmosphere, there are many dining options available from suites, the grandstand restaurant or the diner style group deals which are available from only €9.99 per person and include a drink and bet voucher and food from the diner.
Its really worth checking Shelbourne Park Out for yourself, just to soak up a bit of the pure atmosphere or to try fine dining at very reasonable prices. it has a web site www.igb.ie and it is also on facebook shelbourne park greyhound stadium, you can just walk in any Wed, Thursday or Saturday Night but you will have to book the restaurant or suites. The ladbrokes.com Irish Greyhound Derby is starting soon with the final taking place on September the 10th this is an incredible occasion and really worth seeing.

“exciting, fun and fabulous food!”

We often visit Dublin and always make sure of a night at 'the dogs' ! either shelbourne Park or Harold's Cross. It's always a fun night, you can book a meal in the restaurant and the food is first class. Table service is provided for your bets and you can spend as little as a euro on a race so it won't break the bank! We've never had a bad meal in either venue and the service is tip top. If you are really lucky you might even pick a winner and end up with a free night. Do try it at least once!

“Cultural waypoint and a good night out.”
Reviewed 28 September 2010

Spent a very long weekend in Dublin with mid-teenage sons dtermined to capture the flavour of the city and the life of the Dubliners. Dog racing featured in a novel and a report was on the back of a local paper at breakfast. It was a short walk out to Shelbourne Park. Entry cost next to nothing. We found our way to the excellent restaurant overlooking the terracing and with a perfect view of the track. We began our very good early supper about 20 minutes before the first race. The atmosphere was lively and excited. The programme had all the necessary form and other details. Our waitress efficiently took our bets at the table and we came out at the end after maybe eight races, several €s up. We had a splendid evening surrounded by lively Irish families and intense but disinhibited groups. Each race, although over very quickly was packed with ritual and excitement. We got a much better taste of Dublin life than almost any other part of our visit. Don't miss it.
