“Good hotel, good location!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 March 2014

Great hotel, nice and clean rooms. Very serviceminded and friendly staff! Stayed for 3 nights, had breakfast only at hotel, breakfast was very good. Very little noise from the street as long as window was closed. Location is very good, just across the road from Merrion Square with bus stop and hop on- hop off bus. Short walk to Grafton street and St.Stephens Green, great pubs just around the corner. Only complaint was poor Wi-Fi. Will stay here again!

I often stay in the Mont Clare when I am in Dublin for business; I recommend it because it is in a good position to explore the city and offers a great service.
The breakfast is very nice and the hotel itself has a great atmosphere.
The rooms are reasonably big and the beds are really comfortable; every time the room was in perfect conditions and the check-in was really fast.

Recently had 2 night weekend break at this hotel. Excellent location steps away from Grafton St and Trinity College. The hotel does not have much of an atmosphere and it is quite dated requiring an upgrade. We did not dine at the hotel as there are so many options available within walking distance. The room was basic and compact as was the bathroom. The traffic outside can be very noisy late at night and our window did not close properkly so we had the wind whistling all weekend. All in all it was clean and comfortable and I would recommend this hotel again.

We stayed at the Mont Clare for 3 nights. The hotel was very clean and the room was more than adequate.
The hotel is in a beautiful location next to Merrion Square and a stone's throw from Oscar Wildes house and the museum of natural history. A walk to temple bar probably took about 15 minutes at a brisk pace, trinity college and grafton street were a mere 10 minute stroll from the hotel.
We only had a couple of very minor issues - had to request a non- feather duvet on 2 occasions due to severe allergies. I'd also recommend going for breakfast earlier rather than later - due to a couple of late nights, we usually went down at about 0930, which was probably a little late- the selection had diminished slightly and staff were beginning to tidy things away.
This by no means affected our stay negatively though and I would definitely choose this hotel again if travelling to Dublin. I traveled with a friend this time but would be equally comfortable staying here with my partner or even my mum. A great hotel and a fantastic city.

Everyone at the hotel was very helpful and went out of their way to make us feel at home. Food is good as we'll I had Shepard's Pie which was great. Overall this was a very good experience. We will stay here again.

Stayed here with a group of 10 30 somethings for a weekend. Lovely friendly staff who were very helpful and able to answer any questions we asked them. Hotel was spotlessly clean and the beds were super comfortable. We paid €53 room per night which for a hotel of thus standard is in my view fsntastic value for money. Easy access to the city either walking or by bus. Next time I'm in dublin I'll be staying here again.

We recently had three nights at the hotel. We received a very warm and friendly welcome from staff on reception. The staff were also very helpful with local knowledge. The hotel is in a great location, in easy walking distance of the city centre and lots of attractions whilst being far enough away from a lot of noise. There is also a bus stop about 100 metres from the hotel where you can get on the 'hop on hop off' tourist bus (get the 'Green' bus - you get very good entertainment from the driver guides). Apart from one breakfast we didn't eat at the hotel - there are loads of really good places in the city. The buffet breakfast was good (12 euros) but unspectacular - there was plenty of it. Overall a really good place to stay - we would definitely go back.
