“Very affordable and right next to Temple Bar”

My boyfriend and I disagree, because he says he went into the bathroom first and got rid of any grossness. I have seen no evidence of this grossness, so just putting that out there. I really liked this hotel, it was pretty easy to find, once we crossed the main street. We rented a car and parked in Christchurch car park, which is across the street from the hotel, and the hotel offers a discount overnight rate for car parking there. Worked out perfectly.
We got there a little early and they didn't have a room ready yet, but they held are things while we went exploring. We came back in about an hour and checked in. The room itself was nice, except the super small tv. I know most people say you don't watch the tv on vacation, but everyone as some point before going to bed or getting ready watches just a little bit, at least to make sure the world didn't explode or anything. The bathroom was very basic. Push taps so you can only wash one hand at a time, and no tub, just shower, but it was all very clean. And the room which was a double was very spacious. Sleeping there was some noise from the street, but closing the window pretty much solved the problem. Easy check out. Would recommend for Dublin, at its on the main road to pretty much everything.

I booked 13 girls in for a Hen Weekend and chose the hotel for it's price, location and previous reviews. I was not disappointed. We could not have asked for a better location. The hotel was incredibly easy to get to from the airport. A shuttle bus dropped us of within a 2 minute walk from the hotel. The manager checked us all in and had realised we were all together had tried to place us all in rooms that were on the same floor or very close together. He was incredibly accommodating; one of the group cancelled at the very last minute, I was worried that we would still have to pay for the room as it is a pay on arrival / departure, but he left it as a triple room and charged us for a twin. On the second night one of the girls checked out as initially planned and he changed the triple room tariff into a single. The rooms were comfortable and clean but basic which was expected. The hotel's website pictures are a true representation of the hotel. The barman was really friendly, a few of us went to the hotel bar after a late night in Temple Bar for a night cap, and at 3 am we left the bar of our own accord. It was obviously late but not once did he ask us to 'drink up'. On this occasion it was booked for a group, but I would go with my partner or with a family. The cathedral bells can be heard from certain rooms but I didn't find them to be a problem.
In summary an ideal hotel for a city break, everything that you could ask for.

We had an excellent stay @ the Harding Hotel. We were traveling with a 3 months old newborn. Adriana & the rest of the staff took the time to reply every possible email I could send prior to our arrival. They let us check in as soon as we arrived (around 11 AM already) & a camping baby bed for our little one was already standing ready in the room. We were in non-smoking room on 5th floor with a great view on Christ Church. Even if facing the street the noise coming from below was not disturbing and barely hearable with windows closed. The bells of the church were going about every 15 or 30 minutes, but that didn't bother us - not even at night when just so tired we wouldn't hear them. The location of the hotel is perfect to go around town (with a newborn I'm still breastfeeding we still manage to go continously in the center after each feed and return on time for the next one), just in the middle of Temple Bar and 10 minutes walk from Grafton Street or 15 from St.Stephens'Park & shopping mall. The pub below makes the perfect Irish Coffee, which was also an extra bonus when the only chance to drink is after your newborn has felt asleep after last feed. Only down points were that bathroom only has a shower (however one big enough to fit a baby bath in allowing us to be able to bath our little one in a very easy way) and that when the light (and aspirator) from the bathroom was on we were getting a smoky smell in the room (maybe because the aspirator was connected to smoking room). Overall we were very satisfied with our stay and surely with the price paid for it! Almost forgot.... the complimentary wireless (with great coverage & speed) was also a mega super plus for us!!!

Room Tip: Non smoking on 5th floor

The Harding is a good hotel. Not great, but good. It has elevators, free breakfast (not too good, I must say), free wi-fi on the bedrooms, a HUGE bed in a large bedroom.

But it has it's faults, the bathroom is terrible. The shower is too smal, and since it has a curtain, every bath taken equals a bathroom flooded.

The "booked the right way" mentioned is that the room is quite expensive (around 115 euros), but if you book through a hotel club, it can get really cheap.

Lovely hotel. Staff was very friendly. Rooms were clean, including bathroom. Closets in my room were HUGE. Location is amazing! Right on the edge of Temple Bar. Front desk was polite and helpful with directions. The bells were not loud at all. they were beautiful. I only heard them on Sunday morning and they were not loud. They did not keep me from sleeping late on Sunday. I felt very safe and comfortable at this lovely hotel.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone interested in going to the Temple Bar area. Literally less than 5 minutes away. The hotel is also within walking distance of the Guiness storehouse and very close to the main shopping area of Dublin. Plenty of restaurants, takeaways and cafes nearby as well. We was given this hotel as part of a package deal so can't really comment on the price of it usually as we got it really cheap. All staff very helpful and friendly. Would definatly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting this part of Dublin. And would definatly recommend anyone to go to Dublin.
