Great price for what you get. The hotel staff was very helpful and offered dinner suggestions. The onsite pub is great traditional music and is frequented by locals. They serve great desserts (best sticky-toffy pudding we sampled in Ireland). The location is ideal for walking to the major sites in Dublin and the Temple Bar area. The rooms are clean and although we were able to hear the Christ Church Bells they did not keep us from getting a good night's sleep. The only negative which kept me from giving this location a 5 star rating is that the carpet in the rooms is worn and could use updating.

Room Tip: Our fifth floor room had air-conditioning which was nice in that it allowed us to close the window a...

Good place to stay if your budget conscience and want a good location. The nice thing about this place is that it is only two or so blocks from the Temple Bar area. It also doesn't get the drunk spillover from all of the bars like many other places in the Temple Bar area. Staff was friendly, room was clean and the location was great. Stayed here for two nights with my cousin on a stopover en route to our family house in the south. There is also a pub in the basement that serves food which is convenient. I would stay here again.

Absolutely perfect for my Ireland travels! The price was right! The location couldn't be beat!
The history inside and outside the hotel was fascinating and fun. Best of all was the staff.
Everyone was wonderful and helpful! I stayed a few days when I first arrived and booked with them again for the last few day before flying out. Nice beginning & ending for my island travels! Highly recommend this "no frills" home away from home! My thanks go out to the Harding Hotel and staff! I would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Room Tip: Single room was very small w/ great use of the space… plus it had a perfect view of Christchurch Cat...

Our location was good but we found the accommodations to not be very clean or the front desk staff very friendly -- and we are not picky travelers. It was our least favorite place in our 2.5 weeks of travel.

Dear Colehanna,

Thank you for taking the time to write a review of the Harding Hotel.

We are obviously disappointed that you found the stay lacking the in the standards you expected and I apologize for that.
Even though we are incredibly busy as we are fully booked nearly every day at present and then dealing with all guests check in/check outs, phone & email queries as well as providing all sorts of information regarding city sightseeing, travel plans etc. we do try to offer a personalized, professional and friendly service and we do try to acknowledge all guests entering/leaving the building and make their stay as memorable as possible for the correct reasons.

We also try to maintain all rooms to the highest level possible but I am sorry if you feel that you room was not to standard.
I would appreciate it you could send me through an email on info@hardinghotel.ie to further details your issues, highlighting the room number and staff you met with.

The Harding is in the perfect area of town! A lot of great tourist destinations right within walking distance. And, the hotel is right in the middle of two of the RED city tour bus stops. The red city tour bus is all we needed to get around town. We purchased tickets for the tour online before our trip (you get a discount that way.) We also purchased bus tickets at the airport that took us right down the road from the hotel! The room was great- very spacious and clean. The staff was great also! They allowed us to leave our bags at the front desk as we arrived early in the morning, then when we came back around 12:30 pm, they allowed us to check in early! The pub attached to the hotel was great also! There was a live band the night we were there. We ate at the pub that night for dinner- the food was really good.In the mornings, we did not eat at the hotel, so I don't know about the breakfast food. We ate at a little bakery around the corner. A very quaint place with really good pasteries, fruit salad, etc. We stayed in three different cities while in Ireland, and I will definitely say that this was the best hotel we stayed in!

My wife and I spent 9 days in Dublin and stayed at the Harding Hotel the entire time. The location was great, we were near everything we wanted to do and the Airlink Bus stop, from the airport, is half a block from the hotel. Despite being near Temple Bar, the evenings were quiet for sleeping, even with the windows left open every night. The room itself was very basic with a double bed, shower only in the bathroom, a small desk, sitting table with two chairs, and tiny television, but did include a small refrigerator. The room and furnishings showed a little wear, but nothing that seemed unclean, unsafe, or that detracted from our positive view of the hotel. The bed was comfortable and the little sitting table came in handy when planning our days. We didn't need a luxurious room as we were going to spend almost all of our time out of the room anyway. The lobby is small but comfortable. We had a nice view of Christchurch cathedral from Room 502. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Dublin.
