Stayed twice, at the beginning and end of our trip.
Excellent location, large room with view to Christchurch.
Church clock may be heard during the night. Lower level rooms should be noisier because their proximity to Kelly's Bar.
Good value for money.

Room Tip: Higher floors are quieter (there is a noisy bar in the basement)

I stayed in a single room at the start of the July. The room was comfortable and cozy and had a view of a clock tower across the street. This also meant that every hour the bells in the clock tower would go off. But the view was stunning. I stayed in summer and the room didnt have air conditioning but they did supply you with a small fan for those hotter days. The bathroom in the room I stayed in was tiny. When you open the door to go to the toilet you would need to step to the left hand side away from the door to close the door so you could walk to the toilet on the right. And do the opposite when you wanted to leave the bathroom. The hotel had a bar which has entertainment nightly and a restaurant which is reasonably priced. I booked my stay through a travel agent which didnt have the optional breakfast added on to the booking. I would advise to make sure you do have the optional breakfast added on to it for your booking as you will end up paying about 7-15 euro for breakfast. The staff in reception were very helpful and friendly both at reception and in the restaurant. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk away from the main shopping strip and Stephens garden. Dublin castle is about 5 minute walk away. The hotel is also very close to restaurants and a super market. If you are planning to catch a train to do any day trips it will take you 30 minutes to walk to the station. Otherwise there is a bus at the end of the street that will take about 10mins to get to the station. Guinness factory is about a 20 min walk from this hotel. The hotel has strong wifi which you can access from your room and is free of charge. Overall the hotel if you are looking for a comfortable and budget hotel the Harding Hotel is great.

Room Tip: Request at room at the front of the hotel with a view of the clock tower. As the view is stunning. B...

Stayed here a few days ago. Our room overlooked the beer garden of Darkey Kelly's - no big deal as there was no noise after about 11 anyway. The downside was there was no air conditioning in our room on the first floor and it was soooo hot! There was a pedestl fan, which was on high all the time. The room was fairly generous in size, clean and comfortable. Nice and centrally located to hop on/hop off bus stop, temple bar area and walking distance to most amenities. Darkey Kells had good beer and live music, so a bonus.

My husband and I stayed at the Harding for a couple nights at the end of our European vacation. We chose it for the affordable price and the fantastic location. We definitely were NOT disappointed in the location... just a few blocks from temple bar, right across from Christchurch and accessible to all major Dublin attractions. It was so nice to be able to walk everywhere, including to dinner and a night out.

The hotel itself was just OK. Large rooms, but very sparse and without air conditioning. The bathroom wasn't the cleanest and the beds were rock hard.Good thing we weren't spending much time in our room, so it didn't make too much of a difference.

Dear Boggg3312,

Thank you for taking the time to write a review of the Harding Hotel following your recent visit to Dublin.

I am sorry to read that you were a little disappointed with the hotel room offered to you during your stay, especially with regards the bathroom's cleanliness and the hardness of the beds.
If we had been made aware of this fact during your stay we could have tried to address the situations or else moved you to a room that you may have preferred.

We do try our best to meet all guest's requirements during the busy summer season and strive to make their stay as memorable, for all the right reasons, as possible.

I am glad that you did find the hotel's location to be so wonderfully convenient and central for all of your needs.

With best regards,

This was our second visit to Dublin, and all I can say is we were both disappointed we didn't choose the Harding Hotel first time around.
Perfect location, about 5 minutes walk to Temple Bar, and if you know your way around then all other tourist attractions are within a half an hour walk. If you don't fancy walking then the hop on hop off bus service stops 30 seconds away, as does the airlink bus to the airport.
Darkey Kellys pub downstairs is a lovely place to have a drink or something to eat, and the staff are cheerful and friendly. Very reasonably priced too in comparison to some of the other pubs we visited.
Our room was large and clean, lots of storage space for clothes, tea&coffee making facilities, fridge, hairdryer, everything you could ask for.
We are thinking about the date of our next trip already, and will definitely be staying here next time around.

It's a nice, clean and noiseless hotel. For a reasonable price, it is located in the heart of Dublin, close to attractions, shopping streets and Temple Bar, where all the nice pubs are. Very good breakfast and usefull facilities.
