I stayed here recently for one night and was pleased with the location, the room size and general upkeep of the property. It's a good, affordable 3 star property that I would recommend to others. Being right opposite Christchurch afforded some nice district views from the higher levels and the bell ringing was by no means intrusive. The staff are very warm and welcoming and helpful to tourists. Being on the edge of Temple Bar rather than in it is a big advantage in terms of avoiding noisy nigh time crowds.

Room Tip: Upper levels away from the street is a better bet in most hotels.

Stayed here with my wife for 3 nights in August.

Reasonably priced (although Dublin, like many capital cities, is an expensive place to visit) and very well-positioned opposite Christchurch Cathedral and a couple of minutes walk in to Temple Bar.

Room was ok. Clean, facilities were acceptable and there was plenty of space. Breakfast served downstairs in the Bistro was of good proportions and good quality. My only real complaint would be that the bar downstairs can generate a bit of noise, which can be slightly annoying. Having said that, I'd be likely to stay here again if I were to return to Dublin.

The Harding Hotel is located next to Temple Bar and therefore a good basis for exploring Dublin. A little bit noisy in the night, but after one or two pints in the Darkey Kelly’s Bar, no Problem. The room was clean and the staff was very friendly.

This hotel was perfectly fine but this is more for the backpacker or group of friends traveling. Very affordable price and you get what you pay for. The room was clean and the staff was fine. I had no problem with the hotel but my wife would have like to stayed somewhere nicer.

Dear Rob G,

Thank you for the review following your recent visit to the Harding Hotel.

I am sorry that your wife did not seem to enjoy or like the Harding Hotel, it would be interesting to know what expectations she had for the hotel as we are clearly advertised as a 3 star hotel in a city centre setting.

We offer clean & comfortable rooms, friendly & warm service in an excellent location with affordable & value for money rates which would appear to meet the overwhelming majority of guest's expectations based on our favourable reviews and rankings on the likes of TripAdvisor but your review doesn't rate the Harding on any of these factors unfortunately.

We have many guests staying in the Harding on a regular repeat basis, with many other corporate and leisure break guests finding the Harding suits their needs well but we certainly don't try to cater to the backpacker market as you seem to suggest as there is a hostel next door to our building and we find that both target markets for each premises rarely mix.

We appreciate your comments and hope that you may consider the Harding Hotel should you return to Dublin and I would be confident that can overcome any issues that you may have experienced during your recent stay.

The Harding Hotel is in a really good situation for exploring Dublin. The room was clean and spacious, huge bed very comfy. the bathroom was clean and the shower was hot. the air conditioning unit was noisy . The hotel bar called Darkies was expensive but the live music was great, a fantastic intro to Ireland. the
staff were helpful and friendly the only negatives are the lack of parking, nearest parking in a multi story a few min walk away, and the bistro breakfast was basic.

Room Tip: top floor rooms are quieter as the bar is quite loud until late

Dear Karen M,

Thank you for the review you posted following your recent visit to Dublin.

I am delighted to read that you enjoyed your time spent in Dublin and the Harding Hotel.

While we don't have our own carpark, like most city centre hotels, it is clearly highlighted on our own website & various travel listing websites and we mention that we do have a heavily discounted rate for hotel guests in a very close nearby carpark. It walks about 2-3 minutes away from the Harding and for a full 24 hours guests can avail of a €15.00 Euro rate.

The hotel's own public bar, Darkey Kelly's, would be considered one of the best value for money bars in the this area especially compared to the main Temple Bar area and is busy midweek & weekends with locals and tourists alike with plenty of specials on craft beers, cocktails and Irish whiskey specials. I am sorry that you felt the bar was expensive but the overwhelming majority of guests and bar customers appreciate that in an expensive city for drink, Darkey Kelly's offers great value for money with wonderful service, food & drink with nightly entertainment.

The hotel bistro offers a fine choice of breakfast types from a tasty yet healthy granola to full Irish cooked breakfast from 07.30 daily combined with vegetarian options and eggs cooked to choice.
I am sorry if the range of food or options offered were not to your liking or expectations.

I do hope that we may be able to accommodate you again should you return to Dublin and please feel free to contact the Harding directly to arrange a booking on info@hardinghotel.ie ro by calling 00353 1 6796500.

This hotel is so close to the city center. It is also right next to the bus that picks you up and drops you off at the airport. Had an over good experience there and the staff was friendly. The rooms were big and clean! There is a bar/restaurant down stairs that I never went to but it sounded like fun. My friend and I split the cost of the room and it was down right affordable!

If you're looking to stay in a great location in Dublin and not spend a fortune, the Harding Hotel is the way to go. This hotel is close to Temple Bar, but not so close that you're listening to yelling drunks at all hours. Nearly all Dublin tourist sites are easily walkable from this hotel. Also, the airlink bus to the airport is just on the corner.

The rooms are spacious and clean. The only problem I noticed is that there is really no lip on the shower, so it means water, water everywhere. The bar and restaurant attached to the hotel are both nice. I would absolutely recommend a stay at the Harding Hotel while you're in Dublin.
