It was a last minute thing booking a table here at an early time of 18:30 on a Saturday evening. We also had a voucher deal for 2 mains and 2 drinks. It was very quiet to start with but then started filling up from about 19:00 onwards. The service was excellent and efficient. The beer selection could be expanded as there was only Budweiser on offer. We had the Nyonya curry with beef and prawns from the Kapitian dishes menu and we really enjoyed both dishes. Apart from the voucher deal these dishes were reasonably priced at €11 and €12 ... Would definitely go back.

Was looking forward for a nice Malaysian plate of nasi lemak with hot spicy ikan bilis sambal on a hot plate of coconut creme rice! Dissapointed. The rice tasted stale, more like an overnight kept rice, no coconut taste or smell. The sambal was not sambal and had more sliced onions than ikan bilis. It was served with pieces of chicken rendang, so it was more like eating chicken rendang stale boiled rice!
The beef satay was ok and the soya bean cincau tasted like it was poured from Yeo Hap Seng can!
How we Malaysian proudly promote our food as the best....and this is rather dissapointing. Nyonya restaurant....you better hope Chef Wan doesnt visit your restaurant and eat your nasi lemak!

We had a wonderful meal here. We ate the chefs recommendations and were delighted. To start, duck spring rolls, Malaysian pancakes and some particularily delicious ribs. For our mains we had steamed sea bass and also butter prawns that came with the egg cooked in a delicious way that was totally new to us. Really worth trying. Dessert was perfect too (Malaysian crushed ice dessert and a banoffi ice cream). A wonderful meal and in a lovely relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

As malaysian I am really annoyed with so call restaurant claimed to be msian but have so many short cut in preparing the food that the food is almost unrecognisable. We went to nyonya last night and I ordered clay pot chicken rice which is basically white rice plonk into a clay pot and topped with stir fried chicken. Far from the authentic clay pot chicken rice I usually get in msia. My husband who is irish ordered rendang beef and even he could tell it taste more like a curry. The satay is fried rather than grilled. Only consolation the chicken rice is good. Service is okay. We would not be in any hurry to come back. As a msian who is really proud with her heritage it is like a backslab to the face to be serve such a mediocre fare.

Since we were using a very cheap menupages coupon, I suppose we got what we paid for with regard to the meal itself. Our 2 course choices both looked and tasted unappetizing, and was served with little or no enthusiasm by an unsmiling waitress. This was the first time I have been made to feel like a 'coupon customer', and frankly we couldn't wait to get out of the place.
To top off our negative experience, I had to ask for soap for the bathroom.
