“Great for families in Dublin”
Reviewed 29 July 2014

We stayed here with three kids and it was perfect! We had an ENORMOUS apartment on the top floor/ penthouse. It was far far far far far bigger than we had ever imagined it would be. It was a very large apartment and didn't feel at all like a hotel room. In the States, we typically use Marriott Residence Inn so we can have a kitchen and separate room for the kids. Those are great but still feel like a hotel. Premier Suites Dublin allowed us to feel like we were really living in Dublin- didn't feel generic and cookie cutter. But, it still had the hotel conveniences like little bottles of shampoo, etc. The perfect combination. Plus we had a large balcony with a table and chairs. Really above our expectations, and way way nicer than just a typical city hotel in Dublin.

The location was really good as well- just a half a block from St Stephens Green and about a 10 minute walk from Grafton Street. We walked everywhere in Dublin- didn't take a bus or taxi once- and that is with six year old kids in tow. So, it was very easy to walk everywhere.

If I had to note any downsides at all it is that there is a bus stop right outside the door of the hotel so the sidewalk gets very crowded with people waiting for the bus, and also that at the end of the block there are a few homeless people (we were surprised how many homeless we saw in Dublin- more than we saw in London or Paris). But, it is only a small stretch that you walk through where there are a few homeless people.

Also, if you are looking for a five star property with a bellman and superb service, this isn't it. the service is fairly barebones. Noone at the desk past a certain hour (you use a code to get in), and they will store your bags but not help you up to the room with them. So, the service is okay but not overly friendly or five star level. But, the incredible amount of space makes up for it in my mind.

If you are traveling with a family and need the space,or if you just want to have the feel of living in an apartment vs. a typical hotel room, I very highly recommend Premier Suties.

Room Tip: Get room in back of hotel for less noise

Dear JPM,

Thank you for taking the time out to review our property online and point out some of the fantastic advantages our penthouse suites offer and our Elemis toiletry products. I agree, it is a hugh advantage to be located so close to St.Stephens Green and the food and shopping district areas of Dublin city centre. Premier Suites Dublin Leeson Street is a luxury hotel alternative, we offer the privacy, sophistication & calm of a traditional hotel stay but with the freedom to come and go at your leisure.. a home away from home feel.

May you choose to stay in Premier Suites may your return to Ireland in the future.

Thanking you

These are serviced suites, well-appointed and centrally located. The airport bus stops at the front door. Literally. Comfortable beds, plus dishwasher, washer-dryer...luxuries you don't find in any hotel room. Very accommodating staff before and during our stay. They even accepted delivery and unpacked our grocery delivery! Unlike some serviced suites, they provide basics so you don't have to buy things like dish and laundry detergent or toilet paper. They'll even discreetly come in and empty your trash bins if you request it. The entire staff was very respectful of privacy, while always happy to offer advice or help.

We got a one bedroom, non smoking suite facing the back courtyard, thankfully. Very quiet. Only sounds we heard during the whole week were seagulls. We were in Dublin during a stretch of sunny, warm weather, and while the windows only opened a small crack, the hotel provides a powerful oscillating tower fan which helped cool the rooms significantly. Terrific sound-proofing between suites. We felt as if we were the only guests (barring one middle of the night arrival of a family with screeching child, but that is hardly typical and not the fault of the hotel. In fact, they spoke to the family the next day to advise them of the noise issue). There's a complimentary Nesspresso machine in the Lobby that was nice to have access to.

High ceilings,my worn moulding, simple comfortable furnishings.

This is a great place to stay!

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the inner courtyard to avoid street noise as Leeson Street Lower is a busy roa...

Dear Mentirita,

Thank you for rating our property so high. We are happy to read that you found our locality so central in Dublin and that you availed of our amenities in the suite. We were lucky this year to have such nice warm weather this Summer something we are not normally use to.

I shall also pass on your kind words to my colleagues. Thank you.

May you choose us again on your return visit.

Kindest regards

The location is fantastic, the room was lovely and clean with an incredibly well stocked kitchen for self catering. Despite being so central there was no noise at night and we stayed on a Saturday! The staff were very helpful and courteous, and it's really moderately priced! We will definitely be staying here again:)

I stayed for a week and a half at Premier Suites while in Dublin on business (We are from the US). When I travel on business I always try to find an apartment type hotel. This was a great find. My two colleagues also each had their own apartment. We all loved the apartments. They are clean and upscale and very roomy with every thing you need in the kitchen. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. My room faced the back of the facility and was quiet. One of my colleagues had a room facing the street but she said that she didn't really have a problem with traffic noise. The rooms are not air conditioned but the hotel provides a tower fan that makes it nice and cool in the apartment. Although the temperature outside was warm, it was never hot in the room. The location is amazing. Just a short stroll through the park puts you right in the middle of Grafton street with every kind of shop you can imagine as well as two great grocery stores. I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

We had a penthouse apartment. Lovely modern renovation of Georgian townhouse in nice residential/embassy area. Walk to most attractions from here. Smallish bedroom but with terrace. Large living/dining/kitchen. Very upscale kitchen and bath with spa toiletries. Kind and helpful front desk staff. Great for families. Would come back again.

While we were upgraded from a one bedroom suite to penthouse, we believe this place would get a strong review in any case. Nice to have washer/dryer after one week traveling plus chance to cook our own breakfast and dinner from fabulous local organic markets.
Dublin was more fun and interesting than expected. Three nights was enough unless you want to do day trips. Staff was extremely helpful. Lobby coffee machine made all types of espresso or lighter fare.
