i loved my stay at this hotel, room was clean, beds are good, nice powerful shower, friendly staff great breakfast, located in temple bar district tons of food locations, phil lynott statue ricks burgers located close by on dame street is fantastic. contrary to some of the other reviews this is not a hostel and being without the wi-fi is a great social media getaway, thanks to riverhouse hotel for being great we'll be back next year!

We had a room on first floor. Got woken up at 7:45am to the sound of an angle grinder and two men standing by our window. Apparently our room was level with a roof. We were given no warnings to any sort of construction or repairs that were due to take place.

The rooms had no WiFi!! I'm certain there was WiFi in the Hotel as my phone was picking up some sort of signal, but we weren't given an option to buy-to-use or given a code. There was a brick placed in the toilet cistern which had to be moved any time you wanted to flush the toilet. It was only by chance that I checked the cistern. The TV, like most hotels, was very outdated, not even carrying Irish stations.

The night porter was polite, alerted us to the noise in the bar next door, telling us it should stop at about 1am, and aside from not alerting us to the building that was to be going on 7 hours after we checked in, he was a pleasure to deal with.

The lady at reception the following morning barely looked at us. No "Goodbye", "Have a nice day", "How was your stay?". Nothing. Very unprofessional for someone dealing with people on a daily basis. It's a hotel I'd rather not give my business to again.

situated in the heart of the Temple Bar area, the hotel was great for access to other parts of Dublin. Room comfortable and clean, staff very helpful. Some noise from bar downstairs but not a major issue.

Stayed here a few days last week, bed wasn't exactly comfortable but it was exactly what I paid for. Receptionists were extremely polite & friendly. Bar didn't bother me too much had a great time there, would stay again in a heartbeat. 5*s for the money, obviously not a 5* hotel.

Room 201 was dirty and was in need of many repairs. The sheets were clean, but the mattresses were truly like sleeping on box springs. The door lock was damaged and very difficult to lock & unlock.
WORST OF ALL - there's a bar just below the rooms. The loud music and cigarette smoke from the bar and the street continued until 4am, then the street cleaning and product deliveries began about 8am. The weather was unusually warm and they had no fans, so we had to leave windows open until we went to bed. Even with the windows closed, it was like the party was in our room. I wouldn't wish this place on my worst enemy.

No WiFi. Outrageous in 2014. Room tiny. Tv and radio didn't work. Collapsed mattress. No shower door. Toilet broken. Toilets and area downstairs smelly. Good location. But that is all. Cheap and nasty. Don't go there unless you are on an extremely tight budget.

We stayed here after having spent two nights in much nicer hotels outside the city centre, and wanted to be a bit more central for our last two nights in Dublin.

The location is faultless - on a relatively quiet street in Temple Bar - so we got what we wanted, but nothing more.

The room we stayed in was in the 'back building', accessible by walking down a corridor that smells like wee, past the sad-looking bar and up a flight of stairs. On the second floor we had no trouble with noise from the bar but could hear people talking as though they were in the room with us. The room itself was pretty small but not unclean, and there were tea/coffee making facilities, which is always welcomed.

The lack of wifi in the hotel is pretty annoying; I've come to assume that it's a basic facility in city-centre hotels now so we had to go out looking for some free wifi just to figure out what time our flight would be (brought that on ourselves though I suppose!).

Didn't try the breakfast as there weere plenty of places nearby offering delicious ones, and we would have had to pay extra anyway.

Stay here if you're going to dump your bags, look around the town and come back when you're ready to crash.

Room Tip: Try not to stay in the back building - walking past the bar when it's being cleaned and the smel...
