“1 night stay”
Reviewed 15 June 2014

Stayed a night at Kinlay House which was convenient to the places I would like to visit and was safe as they use keycard to enter the premises and the receptionist even check before you enter. Stayed in a single room at the top floor (a double-deck bed for 3) with toilet and shower outside of the rooms. The lights in the shower/bathroom was annoying as it was a type of motion sensor and switches off every 1 minute (bathing alone in the dark near midnight) and shower tap only last for less than 1 minute (inconvenient when washing hair). But overall, good stay

it's bottom level stuff but it does the job. The breakfast isk, just coffee, toast and cereal. Its not as nice as other places but its just up the road from the Olympia and down the road from Vicar St i use it quite a bit. i would recommend it.

Room Tip: If you want a quiet room sleep at the back

You don't expect more: is cheap, clean and in the city centre. The room was clean. We had an en suite toilet which did the job. The beds were comfortable but the room was very very hot even the radiator was closed due to the pipework that goes through the wall.
The breakfast was ok: milk, cereals, toast, tea, butter and jam.
For me the best thing is the location.

Room Tip: When you book a double room they can give you one bed or two twin beds.

I chose Kinlay House because of its location. It is really close to major attractions. I had a booking in a 4-bed dormitory. By the time, I got into the rooms, I realised that it was a 6-bed dorm. However, there were only 3 other people in the first night, 2 other people on the second night and was alone for the last night. So, it was fine; but there was lack of enough space to move around. Bathroom could be better and breakfast wasn't various.

All in all, it's a good place to be close to the city center.

It is an excellent choice if you traveling with a bunch of friends or by your self. Excellent attention, excellent location. Nice rooms, very clean. The internet could get better. Looks like a very secure place, also

Room Tip: The internet connection does work better in the upper or downer floors; also, the better ones are in...

It's a great, central location, walking distance to most of the attractions. The rooms are clean. Regarding the staff at the reception desk - I have pretty mixed experiences, the girls were ignoring the guests and their questions, being simply unkind, whereas the male part of the team was really friendly, polite and helpful.
